Hey!

I was wondering if anyone could guess what the yellow material is here. It looks a lot brighter and crisper than something like cotton but I don't have a broad enough material knowledge to even guess what it might be. I know this might be an impossible question as the image is quite small but any guesses as to what it might be would be appreciated.

looks almost like a velvet style material to me...

seems to have a texture around the shadowed areas, hard to make out though... something like this...



i'd say a medium velvet with a blue 'satin' style fabric for the detail.

It's definitely a thicker/soft material the way it falls - I'd agree with Methos that it could be a velvet, or possibly fleece. It seems to have similar soft folds as this which I used fleece for, so I know you can definitely get it in that colour!

Looks to have that sort of texture and you can definitely get fleece in nice bright colours.

Thanks very much everyone for all your help! I did actually consider that it might be fleece. I think for this costume it actually suits something like that so I might give fleece a go.
