Just paid for our accommodation today so I'm super excited about this.

But for my cosplays, I am like, the most indecisive person ever, but here is my list so far:

Elaine Marley - Monkey Island [Yet to pick a specific game]
Kusumi-no-Okami - P4G
Jade - Beyond Good and Evil

And I was thinking about doing Vanellope von Schweetz from Wreck-it Ralph because oh my god she's amazing and even though it's a film, it's all about video games so it kinda works?

I only recently found out I should be going to gemucon so I'm slightly falling around about who to cosplay

I would've done Hope or Garry for it but Hope isn't finished and there's no way I'll be able to get all the stuff for Garry in time,,,

I'll be there! Right now the costumes I have confirmed are Humanised Marlin (Finding Nemo), Rick (Harvest Moon: BTN), Randall Ascot (Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask), Young Connor (Assassins Creed III) and Apollo Justice (Ace Attorney). I just had to take advantage and put as many game ones in there as possible!

Should be fun anyway! Can't wait! ^^

Given I don't have that many game related cosplays, my list is rather small.

I'm planning to wear Professor Layton, Wreck-it-Ralph and then dig someone else out from my cupboard at random. Since I really only have Layton and Ralph as game choices who'll be finished.

Event timetable up! What do people think?
I personally don;t understand why the masquerade is on the sunday, with pre-judging a good 4-5 hours beforehand!
The cosplay repair panel seems a little of out place but that might be just me

Thoughts?

I know it's a first time event and all, but I think there's a strong lack of events and the cosplay activities are run very unconventionally. Not necessarily a bad thing, but if I were competing on my own then I'd be half tempted to pull out the masquerade, purely because I don't care enough about it to wake up that early on a Sunday morning.

That's just my opinion any way, I'm just there to have fun with good company so I'm not too bothered about the lack of events and the way it's run. I'm just leaving them to it. Although it does feel like we're not quite getting our money's worth as there isn't a lot of stuff that I'd like to do even if I wanted to.

Me and my friends have been chatting about the timetable since it was announced. There's so many complaints with it :'D

We've figured it out, and if we go to every event we're even half interested in, we still have 4 hours worth of gaps a day and most of them clash with other events
I'm also only going for the company, but it's still quite a let-down.

It's getting to a point in which I can't be bothered to cosplay for it anymore, so un-excited for the actual event. I'm going to get my Archbishop done fo-sure as she's the most completed, but Harley and Joy are going to take a back burner for now - I'm not going to rush them for this.

I was tempted to pull out of the masq at first because it screwed with my plans so much! Fortunatley I've managed to sort out said plans. I'm mostly entering to work on my confidence, and because I'm really proud of my cosplay so I want everyone to see it haha!
Sunday morning is going to be hell!

Hmm, the main reason I seem to be going for, to be honest, is to dress up. ^_^;; I need to cosplay to take my mind off of the stress of work and normality, dammit! And damn....looks like Ino and I wont even be able to watch the masquerade since it ends at the actual time we're supposed to be on a train back home....T___T It was the only thing I was interested in attending, too.

I am a bit anxious about the timetable too. Feels like its gonna be quite a repeat of Fushicon at this rate. Kinda nervous about the masquerade since im not there to win, but to enjoy the stage time, so im praying the atmosphere is not too tense as it seems quite a number of entrants are at it for the competition. Im gonna be a nervous wreck all weekend. Bugger!!!!

Ah well, just gotta work hard on my costume for that and enjoy time with friends ^^

I know plenty of people going so im gonna consider it a weekend with friends ah well.

Eh, I don't actually know many people entering the masq. I'm just there with a friend because we haven't cosplayed together in ages so we thought this was a good motivator to actually finish the costumes

At first I was fuming about the timetable.
The fact the Masquerade is on the sunday, completely cocked up my cosplay schedule - every con I've been to since 2008 has had the Masquerade on the Saturday - wtf?!

There's apparently only 20 slots for the Masquerade, so it's going to be the quickest masquerade ever lol!
Also the pre-judging being sunday morning after the rave - that's just a recipe for disaster for me XD lol

As for events, its a little bleak.
I think they were relying on fan events to happen and there's very few happening. The guests I'm not really fussed about as I only know TomSka.
As a social con, its going to be awesome as so many people I know are going.

Ahhh, I was really hoping that'd be the case! ^_^ Here's hoping the weather stays dry, at least.
