I want to make a moon for my forehead for my costume just like this but dont know what to make it out of, suggestions?

I dont want to have to pay for one really as am on a tight budget now with all the other cosplays i have in progress

I'd probably go for something like Fimo or another oven bake clay, as you can get a pretty nice smooth finish on them that you can then paint over. It's a small enough object that some decent spirit gum will hold it if you don't make it too large.

There's dozens of different materials that you could use, but that's probably the simplest in my opinion.

I agree with the use of Fimo clay for this Some paint and a few layers of PVA glue would give it a nice finish

I have been making one out of some craft foam for a friend but looks like fimo would make it more authentic looking for the character

Spirit gum is pretty good stuff XD Thats now I managed to keep my Jupiter tiara on but it might be a good idea to test it a few times before wearing it to the event so you could get used to it XD Not much is needed either ^^

If you have a local branch of The Works (or some other stationary/arts/crafts discount store) take a look at the accessroies for card making and scrap-booking. There might be something suitable in that range already that you can pick up on the cheap.

But yeah, spirit gum, or liquid latex.
