Urgh, there's so many parts to her warrior outfit that I just dont know where to start! I have some long black gloves and black boots so I can filtch them while I'm pretty much capably with swords .

Does anyone know what materials would be best preferably not anything with PVC in (I turn red >.> ?

For the wrap do I just add some studs and stitch?

And I have visions of her shorts just falling apart when i put them on, anyone got any tips to make them a bit more substancial?

Ok, let's break this down LOL

Materials: Pleather. Preferably back it with something soft though as the underside of pleather can chafe bare skin something awful!

If the shorts are made out of properly sewn pleather, they'll hold, don't worry!

The wrap, I'd make the pin thing on the front to ACTUALLY be a pin. That way you can put it on/take it off easily. And yeah, just add studs and sew ^_^

You'll be fine! Just remember to break it down into parts before doing it ok?

I've made that pain costume myself (which I can't find any pictures of right now) for a friend of mine. Like sjbonner said, break it down into small parts. The wrap for example is a loot easier to get the right shape than it looks! just look on ebay for the right shaped studs (sometimes called brads) and get a broach pin and some fimo for the broach at the front, (fimo can also be used for the belt details etc) you can use acrylic to paint in any extra shading detail if you want. And use pleather/leatherette it's much nicer than pvc!!! (quick tip, get some baby/talcum powder on it, it will help it through the sewing machine without damaging anything, and brushes of really easily!)

the shorts will stay on it you fit them properly!! and if you are a little unsure, get hold of some tit tape and stick the shorts/stockings etc to yourself! (I'm a big fan of sticking my costumes to me!)

thank you both I've never heard of pleather before so I might have to order some online (limited cloth shops) and see what needs to be done

And Gunstar you always seem to be coming to my rescue I think I'm gonna do rectangle with triangle(ish) inserts for the studs. And yush tit tape always comes in handy XD

Pleather is amazing. It's the closest to leather you can get without it ACTUALLY being leather. Leatherette has the same texture, but is a lot thinner and not recommended for actual clothing. More for detailing.

lol I'm now having the same problem, I'm now doing black mage paine for may expo and need a wig! I started a thread specifically for the wig with one I found on ebay (they have 10 of them apparently) which I think should work, would just need styling.

Just waiting to hear what the CI wig experts think!!
