Im going as a forgotten game character known as viewtiful joe. Im planning to go on stage providing I didnt mess up my application. This is my second expo, Im looking most foward to meeting new people

I had the same problem, I'd not got much done on my costume but I signed up anyway. Though there's always prejudging before the masquerade (usually a few hours beforehand) where you get an opportunity to explain your costume to the judges and tell them about what you've done in the meantime.
They're always more than happy to mention something before they announce you if you just ask them! The Expo masquerade judges are always really good with that.

I'm freaking out right now that I'm not gonna even get a place in this masquerade 'cause I can't figure what to write as an intro or anything DX Wording's one of my biggest problems, I'm starting to wonder if it's too late to get a spot already ._.

Anyone got any advice? I wanna apply tonight, but I'm still stuggling with the 'notable info' too I feel really bad 'cause of everyone's great advice, but my head's been all over the place lately.

If you cant think of anything just wait till the day and tell them then, they are fine with on the day speeches its more having the music ready before hand that you have to worry about

You have no idea how happy I am to hear that. I still need to write something in there tho', 'cause it's marked as required. Should I try and write something basic for now for both the intro and the costume info?

if you can't think of something yea, then if you do think of something then you can email it to them. i am terrible too at the minute mine says. "J Po as Rapunzel" lol amazing isn't it lol hopefully i will think of something before the day, so don't worry about that just get your entry in don't want you to miss out

Funny thing is, I took a quick time out from the computer and actually managed to get a semi-decent intro figured! Always seems to happen once I've freaked out over the internet

I'm going as Maid!Hungary from Axis Powers; Hetalia. I was thinking of entering the Masquerade as it's my first cosplay ever but I'll never come anywhere near winning and I'm not confident enough, anyway! XD I'll be too shy.

Decided on wearing my Queen of Corona cosplay from Tangled as it's almost finished. It's the first one I've completely made (before I've only made parts like a coat or a skirt etc) so hoping it goes ok (or at least doesn't fall apart halfway through the expo)

Quick question, has anyone got any email replies about the masquerade yet? I sent mine Thursday evening and it said about 48 hours, but I know they're busy. I'm not sure how this whole thing goes down ^^;

I'm also not sure whether to email the music/reference once I've got the email and be patient or send it all in beforehand. I'm such a noob at this XD Sorry~

And so I'm not just freaking out and asking questions all the time, I'd like to quickly mention that we're gonna hopefully have a dance meet once again this year ^^ Still deciding time/dances, and we still really need some speakers, so it might not happen yet, but it's worth a mention! X3

Did u apply for walk on or performance? As perfomances sometime take a little longer to process ^^

Just walk on Don't think I got the guts for a performance or anything, but I'm gonna try and make my poses suit the build up in the music even tho' it's just a walk on, if that makes any sense.
