Item description:
This beautiful iromuji is made from gorgeous pink silk woven in the rinzu technique which produces a damask effect and shows patterns in shiny/non-shiny contrast. On this particular kimono the pattern is nami (waves) and noshi (paper ribbons) which come to life as the light hits the fabric. The lining is edged with more rinzu silk of the same colour woven with a pattern of sayagata (interlocking keys)
Length: 151cm / 59.4″
Body width: 62cm / 24.4″
Wingspan: 131cm / 51.6″
Sleeve drop: 50.5cm / 19.8″
Condition:
As is typical of vintage kimono, the garment does a couple of flaws. One small, very faint stain towards bottom of front right panel. One tiny rusty spot on lining. Please note threads visible on collar are not a fault; they are drawn to fold the collar in half ready for wear rather than the usual snap-fastener seen on kimono collars. Basting stitches still intact along edge of inner collar lapels. Clean and well cared for.
I'm looking for £25 ono
