Quick one, although I appreciate I'm at risk of showing my ignorance here.
Attended Expo this weekend and, obviously, at Expo there is a large anime/manga quotient of Cosplay so understandably she's getting curious about what the appeal is and who the characters are(especially as she blagged a set of Naruto playing cards....)
So my question is, is Naruto suitable for a ten year old and if not is there anything Manga/Anime that is?
Thanks

There is nudity with strategically placed clouds but it's done on a silly pervy thing rather than being OTT sexualisation. Then there is a fair bit of violence, but it's a ninja manga so would have that.
I believe it's rating is teens (12+). So depends on if you feel she's mature enough. With other mangas, I'd actually suggest Tsubasa Chronicle and Card Captor Sakura. Both have action and some dark themes but also appeal very much to girls |

The different seasons in the series have a mixture of age certificates, ranging from PG to 15. Like I said, it would depend on your family's standards.
Unfortunately, I can't recall any good anime that she might like at the moment! I should go with what Nixie said though. ;3 |

She's certainly seen programmes which are way above her age range, but they have been heavily edited for her (so she ended up seeing maybe 80% of Firefly, and about 50% of BSG for example) and she's comfortable with the idea that there are certain things she can't see yet but at the same time she can handle certain adult concepts quite well. But I think that perhaps Naruto maybe isn't for her yet. However, grateful for the options Nixie, I'll try Card Captor |
