Hi!
So, I've had to re-cover my corset in attempt to cover my botched attempts at adding 'stripes'. I've started sewing a layer of material on every side of the corset pieces, but I've had a horrible thought:
Will the material covering affect the fit of the corset? Obviously the original velour of the basque was made in panels, but my new covering isn't. Will it matter?
The new material has a fair bit of stretch (it's soft denim from a pair of skinny jeans), but I don't want to continue then not be able to put it on!

It will make the appearance of your corseted waist slightly bigger though, if that makes sense, because you'll be adding the thickness of the material. |

To be fair, I'm not small anyway so I'm not too fussed about that. Irritatingly I've messed it up completely anyway as I wasn't working with a pattern so need to recut a new pair of jeans for a proper colour match.
