Hello, im raging as im not from london but is staying at a friend place in london and she lives very near to central line underground South woodford and it easy to get to expo, used it a few times now.
Right now iv been told that central line is going to close on that weekend (always seem to happen, i mean train seem to mess up on expo weekend), but is there any easyer way to get to expo by train/bus?
As we were thinking of getting to walthamstow by bus onto train, get off and get on the overground blackhorse then get to Barking then to west ham then to custom house?
would that be the best other way i dont know what they are like so im asking any other ungerground/londoners users?
Or is there a bus that gets there? or is the underground faster?
Hope to hear on your views.

I mean, is it totally down, or just a bit of it? If it's totally down; Walk to George Lane Shopping Centre (Stop G) 179 Bus towards Ilford Walk to Ilford, Ilford Central Library (Stop Q) 147 Bus towards Canning Town Walk to Prince Regent Prince Regent DLR Light rail towards Stratford Custom House Walk to One Western Gateway Royal Victoria Dock London It'll take about an 1hr and 15 mins though. But that's just with the details you gave. |

Thanks for your replay i had a quick look on their london underground to see if i got anymore information from there, and it said "Part closure - Central line Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 October, no service between Leytonstone and Woodford via Hainault. Rail replacement buses operate." And we are between it how annoying. That clears it up, i thought my friend ment the whole line. |

There's a side loop off the Central line that heads off east via Wandstead, Gants Hill and Hainault, and loops back to appraoch Woodford from the North. If you go South from Woodford via South Woodford and Snaresbrook you should avoid this and be OK. I think... |
