How to dirty up a costume... not permanently?
Hey there all!
My name is Ruby, Hi !!
I am cosplaying as Little Sister from Bioshock 2.
Heres a pic.

I have all of it ready to go, but I need to dirty up the dress and make it all weathered. But the dress... It's so pretty! I don't really want to wreck it permanently
What's the best way to make it "look" wrecked, but just be able to wash it a few times and have it return to normal?
Thanks all!

I'd suggest soil and mud then. You should be able to stick it in the wash to clean it then.

Also, it looks torn, so I'd go with ironing in wrinkles and such. Again, this will go when you wash it

Thanks for the reply. Good idea for the rips! That just might save me from ruining a good dress. Thanks very much
