I'm probably going to sound a complete muppet, but we're trying to put pleats in a skirt and they just keep coming out. We've tried ironing them in and using starch, but they have the longevity of an icecube in the sahara....
Any ideas? Please....

You may also need to stitch along the outside of the skirt too though. Though, there is a lot of material in a pleated skirted. For a size 10-12 (roughly) lady, it takes a metre of 60" material - and 3/4 of that was the material needed to do the pleats. This might be the issues if you're modifying a skirt. |
