Me and my freinds from school are thinking bout setting up a cosplay club but we need to think of a name for it. We are all girls but may be letting some guys in.


ANY GOOD ONES

Stick Itunes on shuffle and put "cosplay" in to every song name.

Even if you don't get a group name, it produces some pretty amusing results XD

Try useing the funny english phrases you see on signs and places in Japan.

try something thats memorable and/or relevant to the club.

Eg. my university's anime group is called Cali Otaku - Cali = short for universities name/Otaku=summarises us pretty well

or Glasgow Uni's anime group is called Gumaf (Glasgow University Manga and Anime Fandom) - random word, memorable, described group perfectly

Then there's the more generic and obvious ones like Glasgow Anime, Cosplay Scotland and Paisley Anime - all summarise the groups pretty nicely as well as pretty much explaining the main area of the fanbase!

Though a friend of mine runs a cosplay group online called UchihaKidsPro named for the fact they mostly cosplay Naruto characters

Yeah, as Crazedteensie suggested, putting itunes on shuffle and putting cosplay into the song name is a good method - it's how we came up with our cosplay group name, at least. Our old cosplay group name was FFExpoClan, though. The reason behind that:
FF- we were all cosplaying Final Fantasy at the time we met.
Expo - We met at an expo
Clan - Was a nice way to round it off!

Or, maybe an inside joke between your friends? It may make no sense to everyone else, but it'll end up sounding unique!

And also... try not to pick something like Ramen Productions? There's probably like 20 cosplay groups out there under the same name!
