Hi all!

I wonder if anyone here has any experience of this, or is feeling creative. I bought some small beads from eBay, and have resprayed them ready to be threaded onto some clip-in hair extensions.

What's the easiest way to get a bead to lay flat on a strip of hair? I was just going to thread it through, but that would cause the bead to tilt, and the bead in the costume is more like a hair clip.

Without finding some 1cm long hair clips and filling in the bead hole with fimo, is there a fancy way of tying them in?

As you can see, she doesn't appear to have threaded them but more like clipped them in. But I couldn't find anything remotely similar in hair clips, so I came up with the beads above.

It doesn't help that the image isn't very clear, but I can't find my copy of the graphic novel that image comes from for better reference.

You could glue clips to the underside? And clip them on that way? If it's a wig, you could glue them straight on.

You may be able to find some flat beads like that, which you could spray paint that colour. But they can get a bit expensive.

I agree with NixieThePixie. Your best bet is to glue the beads onto the extensions, or glue them onto clips. I would suggest glueing them straight onto the extensions, because clips tend to fall out. ad for filling the hole, I don't think you really need to, but you can fill it with Fimo like you said. I'm pleased you don't think I'd need to fill them; it's a lot of hassle really late on and quite frankly I have bigger things to worry about (like lining my armour), but I do want to get it right as much as my limited budget and creativity will allow
