I'm cosplaying this Amora the Enchantress from Marvel.

Whilst most of this is now done, I'm flummoxed by those damn things a lot of comic females have on their head. Seemingly, they're attached by MAGIC! as they can easily lift them off whenever they feel like, but they never fall off by themselves (unless it adds to the drama of it all)

Anyone know how I can make one of these? I have polymorph, Worbla's Finest Art and Acrylics. Kinda reluctant to buy more materials.

I was gonna make it out of the polymorph, then paint it, but I don't know how to get it on my forehead and keep it there then re-put it there the next day

EDIT: Oh, and I also have lots of fabric, interfacing etc

You can stick hairclips on the back and clip it in your wig.

Sif has something extremely similar (maybe it's an Asgard fashion thing?), and I'm still not sure how to go about it.

I'm looking at cheating, essentially, and gluing the actual accessories (in Sif's case, wings) to the insides of a hairband and just wearing it over my ears. Sif's does have the bonus of actually looking 'band-like', almost like a straight Sailor Moon tiara.

I would probably run with the hair clip idea if I was going for 100% authenticity, but I'm not sure anyone would notice a thin tiara band holding it to your head.

So, they have the same head ornaments and share the same lippy? Gosh, these girls need to get a bit of variety in their life!!

I don't know how or where to attach the clips to, and Amora's seems to be rather further away from her hair...



Dunno if this would work, but do you think attaching it to one of those stretchy bands things people seem to think are awesome, and put that on before putting on my wig?

I think I'd either use an elasticated headband or just cheat and mount it on a plastic/metal band and wear it like a tiara, depending on how close you want it to be to your head and how flexible your actual decoration is. The only thing I would say about using a flexible headband is that it might bend the green fabric/clay to you, so it depends how 'form fitting' (or head fitting!) it is.

How are you dealing with the decidedly mini miniskirt thing? I've wimped out and I'm wearing some shorts under it!

Fantastically, Amora wears leggings and such under her skirty, so I don't have an issue with it ;p

Though, I've made the corset too big lol Ah well, my first corset.

I'll probably use polymorph - I can shape it to my forehead perfectly then ;p But yeah, Sif's look a bit simpler - you could easily get away with a tiara thing or putting clips on it ;p

Scarlet Witch also has the same sort of thing I went with elastic and put it on before the wig, with the wig properly pinned in place over the top it didn't slip off or move too much ^^

You could even use spirit gum. It's commonly used for attaching extra things (prosthetics and whatnot, fake beards)to your person. The only problem is that you dont really know how it's going to react to your skin unless you try it out and depends on how much more you'll be sticking things to yourself. I'm no expert on how pricey it is, but if it's a one time deal you might be better off with the clip idea.

I wouldn't know where to start with it, though is an idea because I do want to cosplay more of Riddler ;p He has one of those stringless masks ;p
