Sillabub: I've looked and unless you're wearing a corset in EVERY cosplay on there, you look perfectly fine and will make a damned cute Viola!

ShadowxSong: You're quite welcome. I've told you before that it's stupid and that you look fantastic so ignore stupid people!

To be honest, I was petrified of doing Feena the first time I did her at AmeCon cause of how much of my stomach was exposed - so much so I almost didn't wear her.
Then I forced myself to do it, and the reaction made me want to remake the costume and make it better and more accurate. I did and wore it again, and felt pretty good - I just didn't sit or breathe all day.

The costumes I'm mostly freaking out about on my to do list are:
Original Aeris - because she's my favourite character I want to do her well. Not just a slap job, so everything will be really, really precise to the letter.
I'm always iffy about Rydia because I'm never happy with what I've done. And I'm really wary about my legs being so exposed. Which is ironic seeing as I wore a mini-skirt for Sailor Jupiter (however, you didn't see me in the hotel room before I left. I was *freaking out*).

To be honest, I generally panic about any costume I'm doing because I'm 5'2".
There are very few characters who are that height and I refuse to be one of those people who wears platforms in their cosplay, just to increase their height.
Because I'm a total shortass my costumes will always be inaccurate.
But meh - I have fun with it.

I panic about every costume Im doing as I purposefully pick one that has a challenging element to it that I havent tackled before!

One Im most afraid of is Shiva in bike form from FF13, I lurrrrve the black version, that headress would be the mother of all headress' for me! Once Iv got some spare time Id love to start planning that beasty out and seeing if I could make it.

Hehe, I think until such time as I have a near-completed skirt and can see it for myself, I'm going to fret about it. But thanks for the vote of confidence

since i mostly crossplay, i dont worry about the skimpy factor since i dont really like cosplaying girls anyways.

Im not so much scared of cosplaying as guys who are older than 18 as i am unwilling as i know myself i could never pull it off. First off is the problem with height; unless i go for a character who is pretty small in stature (which is rare for a guy excluding Ed Elric) then im screwed for options because at 5"1, i tend to look like a chibi version of most characters -.-

I'd love to do a Yue (CCS) cosplay but its the height thing that prevents me from doing it. That and the fact i've got the face of a 15 year old girl :B (seriously....19 next month and i got IDed for frickin Mirrors Edge :O)

For girl characters i could probably pull it off since most anime females are small in height and young in face but its the clothing.....it's either really really nice but barely there, or all there and i just dont fancy doing it >.>

1.Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing.
I don't have the age yet to do her and I need to loose my stomach.

2. Sexy!Female!Walter.
The design for her is VERY revealing and it shows alot of stomach.

3. Anything with stomach. Because I seriously can't pull off a cosplay like that. D:

I'm too scared to do a Beatrix costume from FFIX, mostly because the coat and bodice are way beyond my sewing skills atm and pattern shopping would be a virtual nightmare. That and I'd feel like I was wandering around in pants because there's a chance I could be left with only having red tights instead of leggings O.o

The Millenium Earl from D.Gray-Man...

LOL, WHY AM I EVEN CONSIDERING THIS.

05 Jan 2009 - 16:529171
The only one that is really worring me is Safer Sephiroth. For several reasons. A) how do I transport his varies Sephy parts (namely the seven wings. B) How do I solve the 'no legs' look. C) How do I cover my chest.

All good challanges that I do hope to solve before Ayacon.

Gunstar Vixen, if you need armour help just give me a shout.

I'd quite like to cosplay Yoko from TTGL at some point which terrifies me due to my figure D8

I am also scared about the range of topless guys I've picked o_o'

i was going to suggest an axe but that will then restrict you for any future cosplay choices

Chain Saw leaves less of a mess and is a cleaner cut.

Just be sure to have a good doctor who can sew your legs back on once your done with the cosplay.

*wink* LOL

I've always wanted to cosplay Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop, but since she has her belly out (and pretty much all of her bum, too!) there'd be little chance I could do it justice, on account of me being generally large and on short supply of confidence

no bum-revealing costumes for me!
I don't think I'd like to wear something that shows off too much boob or bikini-line either, but bum-revealers are my biggest no-no.

I do pick costumes which are challenging to make because I want to give them a try. And I usually don't give up until I've finished it. >.>'

1. Tsunade (Naruto), it shows too much skin for my liking (i'm very self consious)
2. any fursuit style costume
3. Madara (naruto... again) the samurai armour looks difficult to construct. i'm mostly confused about how to attach the shoudler and waist plates to the chest plates.
4. Making my own props
5. The witch from Left4Dead, for obvious reasons lol ^^;

personally, i get nervous with most cosplays because of how i look or how my body is. I'm very self consious and shy ^^;
And I'm not good with patterns or constructing clothing, i find it very confusing (that and i lack patience) which is why i haven't made any from scratch yet.

Yuki Nagato from the TMoHS video game.

STOMACH MUCH?

08 Mar 2009 - 15:0011466
There are so many costumes I would love make and wear but my weight puts me off a lot of them.
My main one that worries me is Yubel as I would have to wear a lycra based suit and I think it would put a lot of people off ^^;

The ones that worry me are mainly ones that show stomach or too much leg. Oh and LeBlanc from FFX-2.
Oh and I've always wanted to cosplay Vincent from FFVII but I worry about the armour and not being able to pull it off 'cos I'm female... my face looks it. =]

I've picked a few revealing costumes for characters that have big boobs this year, so I'm kinda worried about what people will think.

I've always wanted to do a Nurse Witch Komugi Chan cosplay, but I've always thought that I will probably screw it up. But I wanna try to make it anyway. :3

I think I may have put myself into the firing line as I'm going as Sailor Moon at the May Expo ^^;
This is one of the cosplays I have alwyas wanted to do but have always been put off because of my weight

Tall Male cosplays, because I'm small and feminine xD

Also evil-looking-characters because I don't suit them, and can't look evil xD

only just discovered ths so a bit of a delayed oppinion from me

3. Every SINGLE person who has posted worrying about their body I have gone and looked at their profiles. I have yet to find (other than me) a single person for whom this is justified LOL

sorry Sean, I think your wrong on this one, i dont think its about how you look, i think its about your own perception of how you look,

I myself would probably never do a revealing costume again due to the issues I have with my body (or my skin to be exact) anyone who feels uncomfortable in a costume will most likely look uncomfortable, I know most of the pics I have had where I feel awkward I've looked it too and have DEFINATLY not done the character justice

that's just my opinion though, i'm sure some would disagree
