I'm creating a small documentary about cosplay that will eventually end up on YouTube.

Of course, I can't make a video about cosplay if I haven't got any cosplayers! While my cosplay group and I will be making the video, what would be really lovely would be everyone contributing in some way.

What you have to do is very simple!

Record yourself in front of the camera. You could be in cosplay, or you could just be wearing normal clothes, completely up to you.
This what you have to say:

"I'm (name), I'm (age), and I'm a cosplayer."

For example - "I'm Joe, I'm twenty-six, and I'm a cosplayer." (Not me.)

Send your footage via email to and, while I really can't give a predetermined date, it shouldn't take too long.

You said about October Expo - I'll be there as Enchantress (Marvel) if you want to do some there?

Absolutely! I've had to change my cosplay plans - I'll now most likely be Molly Monday from Monsterkind - but filming at MCM is fine.

(I am also immensely nervous about asking people in case I have the wrong person! I'll probably PM anyone who's interested in filming at MCM with my phone number closer to the event, so they can text a location at a time that'd be good for them [so I don't end up walking around and asking every Naruto if they're the Naruto that commented, whoops].)

I will see if I can get a clip for you on my camera while at MCM in cosplay. Would it be cool if I did it with my boyfriend as we'll be going in a cosplay pair? I can also take some clips of some friends of mine too while there if you like best of luck with your project!
