However since a few changes to the registration process a few weeks back there's been a considerate drop, and we're still working on methods of dealing with them for the future. However putting a captcha on every single forum post is by far overkill, and would be our last resort when everything else fails - the last thing we want to do is to cause legitimate users of the site to stop using the forums through annoyance!
We ask you to please bear with us as we deal with them, and if you see any that have been left for more than a day (Amy-Lou and I pretty much take it in shifts looking for them) then please PM either of us with the username so we can deal with them. We ask all members especially do to this if you receive PMs from any spammers or suspicious members, as that's not so easily monitored from our side of things. |

The ones starting new threads are easy to spot, selling their Louboutin shoes & Dr Dre Beats etc - but it's the ones that reply to threads, copying a post earlier in the thread that's harder to spot. I swear it's become a game spotting posts and trying to work out if it's a real person or a Bot We're also in development for a new forum, which should make things easier to control - this one has become quite outdated over time. So hopefully that'll also help deal with these. We are only a small team managing this site in our spare time as part of our hobby, so please understand things don't always move very fast - try and ignore these annoying spammers until we win this war Last edited by Delusional (13 Sep 2012 - 08:16) Reason: Tried to spell before having coffee...didn't work |

We tried caps, no caps, all caps, but it just said that it was invalid. Was it just us, or..? __________________ "She was batting her eyes in a way that she probably thought was highly seductive, but actually just looked like she was trying to pilot a yacht with her eyelashes." |
