Trying to make Jesse Dart's belt
Hi everyone,

I'm trying to make this guy's belt, but I'm not sure about what material could I use. It doesn't look like a leather (leatherette) belt to me. So, if anyone could give me a hint it would be great. I'm really new into this, so I dunno too much about materials >_<.

Here are some images:

Also (to avoid opening another post), I'd be very gratefull if anyone could inform me how well known or not was the anime in the UK. It's called Starzinger, Sci-Bots or Spacekeeters (among other names O.o). The links are up there. It's very old and I really liked when I was a kiddo.

Tnx in advance.

Personally ive never heard of the guy

But if you like a charcter enough to want to cosplay them dont let popularity get in the way, its great to see something different once ain a while.

And who knows it might catch on

As for the belt id suggest using Pvc for the most part and funfoam fot the buckles.

i'd make the belt from what ever type of material you intend to make the rest of the costume from! you can just use some stiff interfacing or buckram to stiffen the belt and make it more, err.. belt like! you could quite easily make the belt clips from fimo and paint/varnish them to make them nice and shiny!

maybe some sort of stage satin or pvc could work best?
