I don't believe there is any donw that way. Not that I've heard of. The major cosplay events are the Expos (twice a year in London, one in Telford This weekend, and the Japanex which was also London), and then the conventions.

Minami is in Febuary, down in southampton, Ame is in Leciecter usually August. There are new cons poping up all over the place, like Alcon adn Fuyucon, but I I know at least one of those was in Leiceter again, not sure where the other was. And Auchinawa is up in Scotland, so a little out of your way I thnik!

Your best bet for a local event is to see if tokyopop is doing a Recn event at a local Waterstones, or see if there is a comic con in your area (you can get inot the Bristol one for free in cosplay).

There's never anything vaguely interesting happening in Devon. Rubbish.

The 40 odd quid train ticket to Leicester last year didn't make me very happy either

I think the Bristol Comic Expo would be the closest for you... It should only take 1hr 15mins from Exeter [as I live in Taunton... and Exeter is 30mins away... whilst Bristol is 45mins away in the opposite direction xD]

Or I'm sure there are random ReCons in Exeter as it's a big city and all xD... But then again I don't know ANYTHING about ReCons T-T

Well, i have to agree in terms of an anime convention, but the conventions (unless it's intended for locals) will almost always be located centrally so that everyone can get to it.

I'm from Plymouth, and theres a new group my friends have started called "Westcountry Anime" and i was going to that when i could. I'm out in Australia right now trying to get a job and earn some dosh.. money's getting a bit tight on me right now ^^;
