Hey, Just a thread for general chat about Eurogamer Expo.

First time attending for the full 4 days with my girlfriend. Very excited to see Mr Kojima!

Have you been before? Are cosplaying at all?
What is the general feel for the cosplaying community at this event?

This will be my first time going as well hopefully ^^ I really want to take my Sir Percival fursuit from Sonic and the Black Knight if I do go and cosplay

Ive been a few times but not in cosplay - its great event with plenty to see and do. Playing games and seeing some awesome developer sessions

I am contemplating taking some days off work so that i can see Mr Kojima's Dev session as it is a once in a lifetime thing =P

Myself, my fiancee (who will be my wife by then) and a few of our friends will be there definetly on the sat and sun.

Cosplaying a Mario group on the Satuday and Jake Muller and Helena Harper from Resident Evil 6 on the sunday =D

Neat. I should be hitting it up as Naked Snake, Travis Touchdown and possibly a few more costumes. Very excited, though I'm not familiar with the Earls Court area, so hunting for places to eat will be interesting. Are there any little shops local too?

Also considering going to the Namco Arcade and Harrods.

I shall be attending only Thursday (only day Kojima is there) and Saturday.

I'll be cosplaying Naked Snake (Peace Walker attire) at both days. Hope to see you all there. =3

@Froggycompany - yeah there are a few shops and a chikcen place just outside the venue and down the road a little and they are pretty cheap so its cool =]

Cant go all four days depending on cash >_< most likely saturday in Assassins Creed cosplay (Malik and a friend as Altair) i absolutely loved last year, especially the Just Dance, so definately going again ^^

My first time at Eurogamer too. Me and a few mates are heading down Sat and Sun, we're all cosplaying Saturday.

I'm going as Alice (Alice Madness Returns) and in the group there will also be FemShep (Mass Effect), Axton (Borderlands) and a Fallout vault 101 inhabitant.

I haven't been to Eurogamer before so I'm interested to see what it's like. I'll be there on the Thursday and as some people know am hoping to go as Mei Ling ( main thing I have to do is dye some white clothing to lilac and wait for my wig to arrive through the post ) ^^

At the Oxford Street events they didn't allow people the time to get a picture with him, but maybe we might get a chance if we're in cosplay...

I will preform CQC on him, and we drag the body to a locker and stuff him in it. We then all squeeze into the locker and SNAP the photo.

Have people heard the announcement about MGS: Ground Zeroes?
I'm looking forward to his panel even more, now.

I've been there once before in cosplay, was quite awesome even though I wasn't actually interested in playing many of the games, not many cosplayers which means more attention LOL!

I have a question for those that have been before - What are the queues like for the games? I wasn't originally going to go as I thought I may be busy, but turns out I'm free the weekend. Turns out there's actually quite a few games I'd be interested in playing so I'm pretty tempted to go, but I just don't want to spend like, over half an hour queueing per game just to play a couple of minutes on it before getting kicked off by the person behind me!

If I do go, it'd probably be for the Saturday afternoon, or maybe Sunday if I find I'm busy with Freshers at Uni.
(I kinda wanted to go shopping in the morning though and some places are closed on the Sunday XD I'll just turn up to the Expo with panda eyes as I'd probably have pulled an all nighter from helping with Freshers XD)

am going on the saturday and sunday am bringing me Female version of Cid Highwind for at least the saturday. BTW Does anyone know anything about this comp they're doing for cosplay which I keep hearing rumours about?

OMG! cosplay competition? I really hope there is one, I'm doing lollipop chainsaw Saturday

I'm going for a few hours on the Sunday - it'll be my first time going, but next year I'm hoping to go for all the days Hopefully see some familiar face there.
I'm tempted to wear my Resi CVX Claire costume as it's kinda like normal clothes, and I don't fancy 6 hours on a coach in weird uncomfortable clothes XD

Is this what you mean about the cosplay competition:
"There will be an area of the expo where you can go to get your photo taken by a professional photographer. Your picture will be uploaded to the expo facebook page and there will be prizes for the best judged cosplayer.
Please note, the photographer will be available from 2pm to 6pm on all four days of the expo."

As far as I understand they are having a bit more of a focus on cosplay then they have previously, and have mentioned they will announce a competition within the next couple of weeks. I doubt it will be anything too serious, but sounds like it could be fun.

It'd be awesome if they got more cosplayers there, PAX was just last weekend and that had some amazing costumes.

I only went last year once, the queues weren't so bad but then again it depends what you're going for? If I remembered correctly the games highly anticipated like Skyrim or AC:Revelations you would have to generally wait for a bit. But they were pretty organised about it! Other games had multiple stations for you to try, but otherwise it wasn't incredibly packed. I remember the longest line there was nothing to do with games actually XD" it was more like meeting guest stars or waiting to play a new console like the PSVita (that was pretty long).

I'm really excited for this one, last year there wasn't many cosplays so I was surprised o.o hoping this years turn out will be MUCH more different *extra happy cas now I can go two days!*

Excited for Eurogamer now, its right around the corner, 23 days to go!

I'll be taking Dr. Strangelove (MGS: Peace Walker), Zelda (Skyward Sword), Juliet Starling (Lollipop Chainsaw) and either Sylvia Christel or Alice Twilight (NMH2: Desperate Struggle) I think!

Any one fancy a cosplayisland meet on the Saturday evening or something?
