EDIT: I just wanted to add that a friend of mine had the right idea with his wristbands. Green meant yes to glomps, yellow meant ask before glomping and red meant you don't want to be glomped at all. It just meant that there was no need for a free hugs sign since you could tell from the wristband if that person wanted a hug or not.
That sounds a good idea!!

Except I wouldn't want to have one to say 'NO GLOMPS THANKS', I'd expect people to know it! Maybe just the people who want to touch random people can get green and yellow, and if they don't see someone wearing them, they know to not unexpectedly grab someone!! Hehe XD

I think I understand what you mean ^-^ They worked quite well at Fuyucon and Amecon08 (if you look carefully at my Orochimaru, I'm wearing one)
I find them useful because my mum comes with me to cons and she has a bad leg and sometimes people catch it by accident but since she's worn the yellow band everyones been nice. I think it did work better at Fuyu since everyone had one, whereas the cosplayers at Ame08 who didn't go to Fuyu didn't know what they were.

I want to ask him if he's bringing some more to Kitacon :3

Probably the best way to deal with it all.

Unless the sign is relevant to the cosplay (Phoenix Wright and an Objection! sign) please ban them!

Free Hugs signs have gotten out of hand. I would love to go to just one con that didn't have any signs.
