Travelling with a Styled wig
I was wondering if anyone had any advice for travelling with styled wigs (particularly this one). I'll be flying over to the UK in about two weeks and I'm just thinking as carrying it as hand luggage ^-^;

The wig is nice, one thing need to pay attention is how to keep it's shap when you pack it.

Taking it as hand luggage is a good idea so long as what you are going to be carring it in corresponds with the dimensions that are given by the airline that you are going to be travelling with.

With some airlines if you contact them via email pria to your flight you can ask to take more than one piece of hand luggage, but I only know that this works if you're carrying something like a wedding dress.

Put it in a box and then in your luggage. My Cloud wig survived London in that manner.

I'm not sure how the airlines are, but I think they can be funny about wig fibres. If it's in your hand luggage, expect to have your stuff searched, is all I'm saying, as it doesn't show up properly on their scanners.

I pinned my Sakura Kinomoto wig to a polystyrene wig head and carried it with me. But beforehand I made sure it was reinforced with some Got2Bglued hairspray.
You could put it in a sizable box and make sure the box is padded around the face of the wig, and at the base of the wig head to prevent it from shaking about - just leave the back free as the padding could squish your spikes. Make sure the box in your suitcase is also padded, so pack around the box at the top end of your case (so it hasnt got a crudload of costume pieces on top of it)
