Just wondering who else out there loves Ghibli films? And whether people are planning any Ghibli cosplays atm?

Also does anyone have group plans for the future/would like to make group plans for the future?

Personally I love all of the films and hope to do quite a few of the lead female character cosplays and a couple of the extras (for example I'd like to cosplay one of the 'gods' from spirited away), currently I just have 3 (San, Sophie and Arrietty) and I'd really like to do a group at some point!

I would love to own that jacket!!! What a cool character (but then it's a Studio Ghibli character so of course it would be!!)

I'm just after doing a Seito cosplay from Grave of the Fireflies at a Ghibli meet on Sunday just there.

I'd love to one day finally cosplay Chihiro, she's my favourite Ghibli heroine! Would love to cosplay Howl as well, probably my favourite male.

I think those two are on my top 2 to make from the Ghibli movies. Though I wouldn't mind paying tribute to the lesser known Ghibli movies either.

I don't have any set dates, but if there's a group at some point then I'd love to join in!

Is there a group set up? If so what event and when??

If you'd like to set a group up I'd be up for that ^^ I have a Sophie cosplay to go with Howl if you'd like and I'd love to do a god from Spirited Away which could go with Chihiro ^^

Funny enough my friend was planning a studio group cosplay for next May expo - I think she said that she either wanted to cosplay Howl or if she felt really ambitious a quad suit of the wolf from Princess Mononoke XD

So I was planning a studio Ghibli cosplay as Sophie Hatter from Howls moving castle. (Dunno which version but it'll be amazing if this turned into a huge group as I've never seen a big Ghibli group before) 8D

I'm trying to do Shun from From Up On Poppy Hill, since my friend wants to be Umi.
If it counts i've cosplay'd Oliver from Ni No Kuni (Studio Ghibli/Level 5 Game). XD

I cosplay Yuki from The Cat Returns, but I hope to one day cosplay as Sophie or Howl ^^

Wow, happy to see so many others who are loving the Ghibli characters sounds like people have some good plans and also have already done some great costumes!!

From the sounds of it people are interested in a group for MCM MAY 2013?? I can do that, I wont have time to make a new costume by then (unless I commission one) so I may just bring Sophie or Mononoke,I'm sure we can have a really massive group.

What days are people free on for MCM and what characters do people want to do?? (I'm sure we'll have to have doubles of characters and personally I think that might be nice anyway)

I do have a Sailor Moon group planned for May so I need to check when I'm doing that...

Aw a Ghibli group sounds like fun - I actually have a chihiro cosplay and I'm planning to do a fanart version of Sophie - I'd also love to do Haru in her cat-princess dress too XD

I'd like to do Sparrowhawk from Tales from Earthsea, I've only seen that, Spirited Away and Howl's moving castle from Ghibli, but I'm pretty open to others for a group, likewise next year is probably better for me since I'm only new and already have a few on the go.

How about May MCM guys?? And I think any characters we can find would be good!! ^^
