Tintin cosplay
Hello

I joined a couple of days ago as I've decided to attempt cosplay!

I've been thinking about a few characters mainly Resi 2 Leon Kennedy and Tintin, but I've decided to go for Tintin since I read and loved the Tintin stories as a kid.

So any advise, tips or recommendations on putting together something like this. I've been looking for a Snowy toy dog as well but found nothing I like so far.

Thanks, Andy

Depends if you want to make or buy it!

If you want to buy it then the costume is pretty simple - shirt, blue jumper, three-quarter lengths and some knee high socks! Simples.

Not sure if there's any store sell the costume, but it seems not difficult.

Probably buy the clothing to put together a costume. However, if I can't find suitable trousers I might have ago at trying to make some.

Biggest question would be the hair. I have dark hair and was wondering about dying it ginger, any advise on that?

I had dark hair, and dyed it ginger.

Mine was a black dark brown, so I had it professionally bleached and they put orange on top. The brand was called "Milkshake".

Dying your hair lighter can be tricky and is quite a commitment. I'd recommend looking for a wig that's roughly the right shape/ colour and then styling it into shape. Easier and less scary

Ebay always has a good selection at reasonable prices (although don't go for the dirt cheap 'fancy dress' wigs, the quality is usually terrible and not worth it). At the very least it'll give you an idea of what's available.

Thanks, bleaching it sounds a bit scary, so think I'll go down the wig road. When I get round to Leon I was looking at getting a wig for that as well so would be a good place to learn with my first cosplay.

Hi there. Do you have a Home Bargains store near you? I noticed they have Tin Tin plushies in from the new movie. They had a Snowy plushie for £1.99 so worth having a look

How big are they? I'll be looking for something lifesize for Snowy.
