Ok, I normally order wigs from Cosworx. I was expecting my new one for Raz to be delivered today, but when I got back from college, I instead found a letter from Parcelforce telling me that I owed HM Revenue & Customs another £20 in tax duties.
Now, I don't actually HAVE this extra £20, so god knows what I'm going to do about this.
Anyway, can anyone recommend a decent online wig-shop, with good quality wigs, that is either UK-based, or marks its wigs as "gift" on the packaging (gift items don't pay tax).

I always use them, the wigs are good quality (but not so suitable for intense styling, so it's best to get one as similar as possible to your character), and most of them have skin tops. Also, they look like the pictures in the listing, take under a month to arrive, and I've never had any issues with customs. Tab |

But you need to get that £20 or they'll send it back I believe :-\ And as far as I know, CosWorx should be able to effectively keep the money and the wig...because we're expected to pay the Customs tax. I got hit with a tax of £30 on an item that only cost me £17 before __________________ CosplayIsland Staff Member |

Although, true to my sources, the last four I've brought were from here: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/jewelry_oil_art_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ. They ship quickly (although I make quite a big order/mention future big order), and the wigs themselves are beautiful. Just be careful of styled wigs. I don't know what they used to style them, but whatever it is still won't come out of my brown wig after two washes. __________________ -an Angel that didn't so much Fall as Saunter Vaguely Downwards- Last edited by Purplefluffychainsaw (03 Dec 2008 - 22:20) |

or cosplay_wig on ebay a lil pricey but awesome quality I agree. My Kairi wig came from them and it's gorgeous and feels amazing. Some people mistake it for my real hair! |

Also Zephyr wigs, but I do not know the website or if they ship internationally. I will ask my friend who sent me from them and reply when I know! XD |

I know that Amphigory does not ship outside of America, but there is a woman with her own wig business, and she provides a service for importing Amphigory wigs. And It works out for exactly the same price, if not less, and with no customs charges =]
