Bodypaint help
I've never used bodypaints before so I wondered if anyone had any experience in this department. I want to cosplay Midna (True Form) from Legend of Zelda:

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Snazaroo paint. I use it for all my body paint needs. I usually prime myself with a wash of whatever the colour is, then once thats dry add on a thicker layer.

I used a brush for the priming base and a sponge for the main bulk. You can also get some nice high and low lights with a sponge. Snazaroo offer a range of shades so you can get your base shade and also a shade lighter and darker from it usually.

Hope thats of some help

Thanks, I did look at snazaroo since it was recommended by someone else but I could only find face paints. Does it stay on well or do you use something to seal it (I found out that hairspray can help some bodypaints seal but I wasn't sure about it).
I see that snazaroo comes in 18ml, 30ml and 75ml tubs. I am hopeless at any kind of unit of measurement, I swear I have some form of measurement dyslexia or something so how many tubs would you recommend if I need to cover practically my whole body and my face.

Thanks so much for your help!

Not knowing how tall you are etc. I can't helpe with how much. What I'd say is, too much is always better than too little, especially as you'll need to run makeup tests.

I also personally vouch for Snazaroo as I've used it often (Three versions of Kankurou and Jiraiya from Naruto) as well as helping my girlfriend practically cover her entire body for Orochimaru from Naruto.

DEFINITELY go for the thin undercoating as Sands suggested. One light coat, let it dry, then a thicker coat if necessary.

I go through 2 18ml's of the snazaroo facepaint to cover my entire body for Jenova - literally my ENTIRE body! Often doing a few layers and mixing it with other colours.

You may be able to get away with 1, but Id get 2 just to be on the safe side!

You can seal it with hairspray I think, or you can get press powders but they tend to be expensive. Iv personally never had a problem with it rubbing off to extreme amounts it lasts pretty much all day I find!

Hope thats of some help =]
