Olloh from Wiltshire + few questions <3
Hai everyone!

So, I'm a home-educated crazy newbie cosplayer from Wilts (although my family will be moving soon...) And I've been wondering for some time...
Are there any cosplayers living near me?!

On the off hand...
What are your favourite characters to cos? Mine are Temari and Tsunade from Naruto, and Mei from Pokémon B&W2.

I'll be going to a cosplay convention next year, and I was wondering... do you guys go by yourselves, or do your 'rents go with you?
Because at this rate, it looks like the 'rents are coming Either way I don't mind, as long as I get to go, but I'd just like to see how it is for you guys.

And for those who've been to a cosplay convention - which one has been your favourite so far? (sorry for babbling )

Hey, Welcome to Cosplay island!
Im not from Wiltshire but I am sure there are a handfull of cosplayers on here that are! ^^

My favourite Characters eh?
Far too many to name, but if I had to name one it would have to be Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell.

I know alot of people who do go by them selves to these events but so far I havent gone alone yet. I usually go with friends and one of my friends brings her dad along for transport and such ^^

And My favourite so far.... Hmmm well Ive only been to 2 so far But out of the 2, I pick the London MCM Expo because of the fast moving busy atmosphere and variety of cosplayers =]

Its funny, I dont normally welcome new members and then answer a questionaire

Anyway, Welcome, Im sure you will find we are a friendly bunch of people!

Not particularly nearby unless you're moving to the south east sometime soon

Either way, welcome to CI!

Not too sure on favorites, but as for parents it depends on how comfortable you, and they are, about travelling by yourself. So far I've only been to London MCM, LFCC and Brighton Asahi, and for the first few times my parents or my friends parents came along with us until we were all between fourteen and sixteen. But it really depends on who you're going with and how much you trust yourselves not to get lost

As to best I've been to so far, as a beginner probably MCM, bright lights, loud noises and lots of people. What more could you want? LFCC is more relaxed and Asahi is much more Japanese culture orientated. Thoroughly looking forward to Kitacon next year though.

I'm in Berkshire (Reading), what part of Wilthsire are you in?

I imagine a lot of cosplayers go in a group, my limited experience at London Film & Comic Con most cosplayers I've seen are in a group or with a friend. This year in the queue I was talking to girl who normally cosplyaed but hadn't because she was meeting friends there and hadn't travelled with them so didn't want to go in costume on her own.

For me when I get around to a costume I might change there at the venue, my confidence isn't high enough to travel by public transport in costume.

Hey and welcome to CosplayIsland! =D

Most people go with friends but bringing your parents along is cool =D

My fave cosplay so far was my Damon Baird - Gears Of War 3 lol

And Kitacon is probably my fave con =P

Just to answer your Q's

Berks, awesome! (I have a friend who lives there, she doesn't cosplay though) I'm about 20 minutes from Stonehenge!
Hmm, I don't think I'd have the courage to wear cosplay in public transport... thanks for the advice!
