Im planning on attending Manchester Expo as Mr Sulu from the original Series and hopefully Amecon as same with a nice Away team! currently working on Bones from the 2009 movie and finishing off the last bits of Mr Sulu before I start on Mr Sulu's Wrath of Khan costume for which I just got the Diamond selects Phaser.

Star Trek cosplay engage! Im currently working on my TOS redshirt cosplay, to join you on your away missions. Ive also got my Voyager/DS9 era command red shirt, and my Enterprise jumpsuit. Currently waiting on my 2009 movie command gold outfit to arrive.
Im up for cosplaying ST at any time, so just name an event, and any specific era costume needed, and i shall "make it so"!

Currently half way through my TOS red skant unifrom. Im using the pattern from the states. Unfortunately the US sizing is completely different to UK sizing so my dress ended up seriously small! So I'm having to take it apart and extend some of the panels using the same fabric. Hope it isnt completely ruined.
So also I have a small compact sized communicator - just nice for fitting into a small handbag which is pretending to be a tricorder ^^ At least it makes the noise when you flip it open. aaaand I have an away phaser for protection when beaming down to hostile planets, but it is the Franklin Mint phaser, and we dont talk about the Franklin Mint phaser, ..I might just unclip the hand held type I phaser and bring that with me. I also want to make up some Denevan Neural parasites - just for fun and photo ops. ^^
Im basing my cosplay on Yeoman Mears. But I like the gold braid sleeve insignias so she might undergo a promotion ^^ hey she deserves Something for surviving the Galileo mission!

Aww the Franklin mint one is nice for a collection but yeah as a costume goes...not the best in the world. I either stick to Kits or Playmates stuff for costumes, not 100 percent accurate but in photos they look awesome!

Yep, I'm toying with the idea of using the FM phaser to build my own - make a light weight moulding and then accurise the shape. Might re-use some of the original parts. It would be a good modelling project.

There is a nice kit of the type 1 phaser on ebay for 18 that looks promising ^^

Yeoman is the rank, I cant find anywhere that states Mears first name. I like the way she wears her hair down, ..meansI can use my brown Mary Marvel wig.

TBH, IF I start going the Star Trek route, I'm going to be rather tempted to do every version of "Captain" Bateson.
So I'd ultimately have the TOS uniform (Since I'd guess he'd be Captain not much after Kirk) , the WoK/FF Uniform and the DS9/FC uniform ( from "Ship of the Line" ) for him.

But I'll start with the Red Jacket (WoK/FF) version

Im hoping to do Kirk at some point, my mr sulu uniform on my page was originally a Kirk uniform XD just removed the braids and stuff, when I do kirk I will be adding more accurate braids! the shirt was good for 23 pounds lol a fair step up from horrible costume shop one but not quite as good as 300 pounds aroba made uniform XD colour is nice though, getting a nice phaser collection XD
