I will move from Germany to Uk this September for one year. I love cosplay and want to continue it in the UK, too.
My new home place will be Inverness in Scottland.
Can somebody help me?
Are there any anime conventions in Scotland or local cosplay meetings as in Germany?
I need those meetings because i don´t want to go alone to one con than i feel like a "forever alone guy"
what can i do to get to know other cosplayers ?

Aaah, there are a lot of cons. ;_;

I'm not too experienced with conventions myself. ^^ All of the MCM Expos (especially London) are huge, and you can meet a lot of people there!


I also really love the Derby JCON, but that's a personal preference. It's small and friendly there. :3

I'm sure you'll find some conventions over here!

My favorite cons are the two main ones Amecon and Ayacon. They alternate years, so this year is Ame in August. If you're not coming till September maybe you'll want to wait it out for next years Aya. MCM Expo is huge and well attended but are more general. Hyper Japan is more culture focused but is quite good to attend. I don't have experience with the smaller cons. Kitacon is popular but also taking a year off next year. London Anime Con has a dubious reputation, although I haven't been to one myself. There are tons of others though and probably you're best off just checking the events listings for smaller events.
