Or I re-use some parts of one cosplay for a new one (Hooray for Recycling! xD) So yeah, I dont have ALOT of cosplays right now, but once my collection expands then I think I will need to either find bigger/better storage space for them or just sell them on (Or butcher them so I can re-use materials and such) ^^ __________________ ![]() |

Cosmos... I might just chuck... The bottom on the dress is covered in dirt, and the gold detailing is ruined. Also, the dress itself is impossible to walk in. WallMarket!Cloud: I actually took that apart, to see if I can get it to fit me better. Debating re-assembling it, but I'm might just use the fabric for another costume in the end. My later costumes... They're actually in pretty good nick and can be worn again, so they're hanging up in my cupboard atm. I might make a rule that if I don't wear them again after so long, I'll sell them on here. Might do that with some of them anyway... |

I tend to bring at least 1 rewear to each con Id always be happy to rewear them for photos shoot and stuff. If Im really unhappy with something I leave parts in my fabric box to recycle them for something else when the time comes. __________________ :3 |

But sadly I'd feel guilty selling my own costumes as I never think they're good enough, so they all just fit in my cupboard. Although they're sort of spilling out now. Some are in bags in the attic.
The costumes that are better sewn I want to keep to rewear anyway haha, my best costumes tend to be my favourite characters so I spend more time on them and want to keep them. Forever hoarding costumes! I hate throwing things out too. But sometimes I can turn a costume into another by cutting them up. Saves money! I also don't throw them away on the off chance that I may want to redo bits because I'm always wanting to remake some of my older cosplays... |

They are in various poses, and look like the "statues" that you can find in Bioshock when you come across Sander Cohen. __________________ http://starchildcoffee.blogspot.com |

It's too much time and money to only wear something once and you wouldn't get as much fun out of it, either.
I find that some items can be used in more than one cosplay ( such as black trousers and white button-up shirts for school uniform characters, etc. ) And some of the more normal-looking items can end up mixed into my everyday wear which I guess is quite useful. |

That is actually true for most of my cosplays...the only proper one I have decided that I will never wear again, I sold. The rest are just stored wherever they will fit, and unfinished cosplay lives on my 'cosplay shelf' (literally just a shelf on my bookcase I didn't know what to do with so dumped all my unfinished stuff on). |

In some cases I do recycle a costume to use for another costume. It really depends how happy I was with it and how well it held together. My Cain Nightroad that was never finished is being recycled into other costumes so I haven't wasted the materials. |

I'd like to build up a wardrobe of different cosplays so that I'm never caught short in case of a sudden cosplay emergency. Cause, y'know, that happens.... |

| KP Joined: 04 Feb 2011 Posts: 158 | So far I have kept all of my cosplays except two from when I first started. I threw these away due to my unhappiness at how one turned out and the other was damaged beyond repair.
My costumes are currently stored in all manner of places. Some in my wardrobe, some folded in a suitcase, bigger pieces, like ballgowns, in a smaller but more spacious wardrobe in my parents room, some props in the attic, wigs and accessories in boxes in another cupboard XD It is getting to the point where I really do need to have a clear out, I just can't bear to part with them as I want to make improvements and re-wear! Eventually I think I will have to sell some of the ones I have brought and feel I won't wear again to make space for new costumes. As for the ones I have made, I think I would be sad to get rid of them since so much work went into them, however there will come a point where space is too limited to warrant keeping them |

I dont think my cosplays are of a good enough standard to sell so others that I know I'm definitely not going to wear I have thrown out before to save space. |

I would like to sell cosplays I don't wear anymore but most of the things I have worn in the past have been partially made up of regular clothes, whether I keep those pieces or not depends if I still wear them but more often than not stuff ends up in the bin during clear-outs, it seems so wasteful now that I think about it, but that's mostly down to my poor organisation and sloth. I'd like to think that I'll get into the swing of selling clothes and cosplay parts but I reckon I mostly keep stuff in case I rewear it until it ends up at the back of a wardrobe or in a suitcase for...some reason.
