International Cosplay Day at Tokyo Toys
TokyoToys and the Grand International Cosplay Ball are hosting an International Cosplay Day!

The event will take place at Tokyo Toy's newly refurbished store in the Trocadero, Picadilly Circus, London from 2 - 6pm on Saturday 29th November.

It's especially great news for cosplayers aged under-18 who can't attend the ball, as the event is FREE for ALL AGES to attend!

Guest of honour Yaya Han is already scheduled to do a talk and signing at the store that day ~ however she will now be joined by a plethora of international cosplayers giving talks and showcasing their costumes. It's a unique chance to meet well-known cosplayers from all over the world and find out about cosplay in other countries!

TALKS & INTERVIEWS

Taking part will be:

Yaya Han - Having appeared at cosplay events all over the world, she will be interviewed about her experiences as an international cosplayer.
http://www.angelicstar.net

Brian Boling - US cosplayer and professional prop maker, he will be discussing cosplay in the US and giving advice on props and armour.
http://www.bountyhardware.com

Isabelle Jeudy and Damien Ratte - French winners of the World Cosplay Summit 2007, they will give us a look into cosplay in Japan and France.

Official KOEI cosplayers: Laura Sindall, Jacob Kimber and Kahman Fong - they will be sharing their adventures as sponsored cosplayers for KOEI and giving costume-making advice.

There will also be a Q&A session open to the public, so now's your chance to ask for advice on that costume problem which has been bugging you for ages!

PHOTOSHOOT

After the talks there will be a chance to take photos with all the cosplay guests!

YAYA HAN SIGNING

In addition to the photoshoot, there will be a chance to take home a signed souvenir polaroid of your photo with Yaya! Please note there will be a small charge for polaroids.

FREE PRIZE DRAW FOR COSPLAYERS

Everyone who turns up in costume will be entered into a free prize draw to win merchandise and games courtesy of KOEI Entertainment, makers of the Samurai Warriors games.

OTHER ATTRACTIONS

If it's your first time visiting the Trocadero and Picadilly Circus, there's plenty to keep you occupied as well as the cosplay events. The Trocadero is home to a giant arcade with 3 floors of video games, UGC cinema, Ripley's museum and numerous shops and cafes. Nearby there is lots to see and do, including Chinatown, the Rainforest Cafe, the Japan Centre and Leicester Square.

For directions and shop information, please visit TokyoToy's website - www.tokyotoys.com

We hope to see as many people in costume as possible at this event so don't miss out!

You'll find cosplayers are all dead friendly - particularly if your dressed up! Which character would you be doing? You find people always gravitate towards characters from the same series as them, or characters they think are cool. Seriously, cosplay is one of the easiest ways to get to know people quickly, short of speed dating...

Yeah! Few of the UK cosplayer that i actually already met (for a few minutes) are nice people! But it's always been hard when you arrive all new to any community..(i guess..^^" ).
Unfortunatly, i can't come saturday, (work obligations-_-", but i'll definitly be at the ball!, I'll wear the "new chinese" fighter from granado espada (or maggy's harem), a little more covered up by my imagination (as it is a ball XD).

Yeah..well, it would be extremely cool to meet you guys at the ball! i'll be very interested in earing from you!
(if you see a strange girl running at you "OMG!!!I LOVE YOUR COSTUME!!"..you'll know it'll be me XD...
