What is it?
Currently working on three Katniss Everdeen costumes, one Peeta Mellark costume, Selene from Underworld and finishing off my Alien's colonial marine

How is it going?
The Hunger Games stuff is going okay actually just waiting on a mixture of fabrics and patterns at the moment. Selene my corset is currently being commissioned by a friend. I have the guns which need painting, gun holsters need buying and the catsuit needs altering. Colonial marine the last bits are currently off being painted by a good friend of mine.

When is it for?
Mixture of Collectormania 18, LFACC, and The Games con

Any particularly fun bits you've had so far?
Trying to work out all the alterations that need making to the various patterns I have. The fun bit is getting to try all the bits and pieces on.

What is it
- Meiko-Magnet, Vocaloid
- Yoh Takami, Deadman Wonderland

How's it going
MEIKO-Got everything I need and just need to finish the earpiece covers and add the detail and attach butterflies then done!
YOH-Collar is nearly finished but need some stronger glue for the velcro. The overalls I am gonna alter have been shipped and should be able to do all the sewingy stuff in a day or so. Just need some black fabric and some bias tape tomorrow Waiting for another polystyrene ring so I can work of the collar for my partner in crime but that should take a day or two to complete when it arrives XD

When is it for

Fun bits?
MEIKO-the details in the butterflies XD made my hands all achy but I guess it kinda worked well. Also plasic folders are so unnaturally fun to cut up with a box cutter XD
YOH-The collar so far :3 Was so much fun painting, carving and varnishing! Carving especially

Porco Rosso
So far so good. Only problem I'm having is finding a decent cheap flightsuit. At the moment the site I want it from is out of my size. If one doesn't come in stock before the con my back up plan is to wear a pair of grey combats with the rest of the costume.

What is it?
Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Part of a group with a Toph, a generic Firebender and possibly an Azula and Ty Lee.

How's it going?
I have two friends who can sew very well, one who can sew quite well, and then there's me and the remaining member. Needless to say, this is my first ever handmade cosplay. However, I can hand-stitch and use a sewing machine after it's been threaded for me . Plus, my costume is quite simple. My friends are going to give me lessons. XD
So far, we've planned out the fabric and raw materials we're going to need and will most likely go out and get the bulk of them in a few weeks' time.
I'm also choreographing a dance that we might use in the Masquerade IF the costumes are good enough... (we don't expect to get past the first stage but think it would be quite fun to do.)

When is it for?
Not until next year's May MCM Expo, but since we're starting out we're giving ourselves lots of time to make it look polished, get the right fabrics etc.

Fun bits?
Definitely choreographing the dance, which I'm halfway through already after coming up with the idea today after seeing all the amazing cosplayers at the Expo :3
I have hair similar to Katara's as well - I won't need a wig - so figuring out the hairstyle has been quite fun too.

Never posted in this thread before, but here goes :3

I'm working on Alice from Pandora Hearts right now!
Well... I say working on it, I'm practically finished.

It's for a NemaCon next month, but I also want to wear it for a cosplay meet in a couple of weeks ^^

I've loved making it! I think it's gone really well despite the slightly frustrating inconsistencies between references and episodes which left me a bit stuck sometimes ><

There's been a bit too much hand sewing involved for my liking though XD
A lot more than I'd anticipated anyway ahah XD

Just the scythe left to make, that should be fun

- Zeruda no Densetsu ♥
I've had a good day doing things the wrong way! ♫

Gamers/Cosplayers! Don't miss out on Play Expo 2012!

What is it?

I'm currently working on "Starscream" from Transformers Prime. (:

How is it going?
I finished the base for the headpiece today but it needs a lot of shaping and shaving down! O:

When is it for?

It's for AutoAssembly 2012 (8

Any particularly fun bits you've had so far?

Just what I've done with the headpiece is fun enough! My head is so big that I have trouble getting the base to rest of the polystyrene head I use for my wigs, ahaha. :'D

What is it?
Gin from One Piece. Reno from Final Fantasy VII.

How's it going?
Not too well at the moment. I'm having massive trouble finding the right colour fabric and I'm a stickler about that kind of thing. Making the tonfa will actually be easier than making the outfit so it seems! As for Reno, he's a 'maybe', but I've started making his nightstick and that's proving to be fairly easy. Easier than I anticipated.

When is it for?
Both are to be first worn to October's MCM this year, providing I can get them both done in time!

Fun bits?
Making the weapons. Always making the weapons. I love prop making! Though I'm looking forward to experimenting with makeup for both of them, Gin and Reno both look very different so that promises to be a lot of fun!

What is it?
Skull Kid from Majora's Mask

How's it going?
Pretty slow, taking my time here looking for the right material and stuff....but it's all good >v<

When is it for?
October expo! I can't wait to have it done to just go chill out as one of my favorite characters

Fun bits?
Researching the character's outfit, planning some possible photo's with friends....just generally being a derp about it all~

04 Jun 2012 - 20:5485463
What is it?
Aradiabot from Homestuck I caught the bug and can't shake the idea, so now I'm preparing to sink more money and time into this than I've ever put into a cosplay before ._.
How is it going?
Well, I've found a lot of the major components (wig, contacts, makeup, prosthetics, etc.), but not actually ordered anything yet That part should hopefully come soon!
When is it for?
I have no earthly idea. The only con that I really have a chance of going to is at the end of November, which at least gives me time to do this beast
Any particularly fun bits you've had so far?
Contacting a company about my prosthetics and freaking out about it with my friends

07 Jun 2012 - 19:0185685
What is it?
Irri from A Game of Thrones- one of Daenerys' handmaidens.

How is it going?
Okay at the moment, the skirt is easy enough but sourcing materials for her top is proving to be a little difficult. Trying to find a wig that I really like is hard too!

When is it for?
AmeCon in August.

Fun bits?
Never really had a costume like this before, so its fun to be making something different!

What is it? Brittany S. Pierce and Warblerette

How is it going? Okay, I have pretty everything for my Warblerette cosplay. The Brittany one is a bit mroe stressful, I ordered a jacket from a cosplay commission service. They said it would be ready this week but I haven't heard from them and they wont reply to my emails. Also getting my dress is a nightmare as the girl making it for me keeps running into problems so my dress keeps getting delayed.

When is it for? Starfury G2 Convention next month

Any particularly fun bits you've had so far? I've liked sourcing all the little extras such as hair bobbles, nail polish, a tie clip etc.

(I should probably explain, I would love to make my own cosplay costume but I have dyspraxia and struggle to use my hands which is why I'm getting the main bits made for me/buying them pre-made. I still love cosplaying though and I like shopping for the little bits that make the costume go from average to amazing and obviously I love wearing the outfits)

I'm currently working on The Songbird from Bioshock Infinite... it's going well so far.

I've never actually made anything robotic and/or mechanical-looking in the past, so it's fun to experiment with different spray paints and techniques.

What is it?
1.Green kimono design for Catnip_Dreams
2.Lady Loki
3.Enchantress (Marvel)

How is it going?
1. Going alright...
2,3,4. Still in the planning process

When is it for?
1. Catnip's 20th Birthday (Late August)
2. Ayacon 2013
3 + 4. October Expo

Any particularly fun bits you've had so far?
1. I've had fun playing with the material, as weird as that sounds lol
2. Again, material playing. Also, the really weird looks I got for buying loads and loads of uber cheap gold jewellery. The amount of times I said "It's for a costume" lol
3. I spent probably about 20mins in Just Essentials with the clerk, as she got up images of Enchantress to help me find a good wig for her. We did actually find a brilliant wig, and it's been bought XD £25 and no post and packaging costs!
4. Gotta admit, it's the reference gathering I've enjoyed the most so far.

What's been done and what's still left to do
1. Material is cut out. Still need to get silk paint though, so can't do anything else yet.
2. Only just started the scales, and still have a lot of materials to get. I don't know if I have enough materials for all the scales yet.
3. Still need to get the boning for the corset, and material for the gold circles. So not started at the moment.
4. All of it still...

What is it?
1.Angela Blanc (angel dress version)
2.Madam Red (everyday version)
3.Ciel Phantomhive (ballgown and green suit)
4.William T Spears

How is it going?
1. Weeeeelll, I've done most of the bodice - just got the trim to sew around the top, the white stripes to sew onto the front, the ruffle to sew around the waist and to fix poppers and buttons to the cuffs. Then I need to cut out and sew feathers onto the hoop skirt I'm using as a base, make the ruffle for the back, and sew organza points and pearls onto the choker. And I have 6 weeks. Eeep.
2. Almost done. I just need to buy black gloves, get a better wig (and ask my hairdresser friend to cut it), and hopefully take the waistcoat in a bit.
3. More or less done. This is just some alterations for a friend, so I need a quick whiz with the sewing machine to take the length of the jacket up, and a bit of handsewing to put the ends of the bow onto the hat, and it's done. Oh, and I need to make the garters for her - but that shouldn't take long.
4. Nearly done. I just need to lower the height of the collar on the shirt and get my husband to actually make the deathscythe and it'll be good to go.

When is it for?
All of them are for AmeCon 2012. Help me.

Any particularly fun bits you've had so far?
1. I've done most of this by hand and I've actually really enjoyed the handsewing - it's relaxing. It's the first costume I've had any major input in making myself, rather than buying ready-made or cobbling together from "normal" clothes, so that has been really rewarding.
2. Painting the boots. The boots I got weren't red enough, so I used Dylon to paint them. They look amazing now, and it was good fun doing something cosplay-related that wasn't sewing.
3. None of it has been massive fun, but I guess sewing the bow onto the hat has been a bit of a "quick win" and meant I can tick off one of our group's costumes as completed (guess who is the mother figure of this group? I've done everything from booking places and accommodation to organising costumes, travel and budgets! They owe me large drinks!)
4. The fun bit with this has been how easy it was to bring it all together, but how effective it looks when it's done. Plus I've created business cards and an ID badge for William, which was really good fun.

I have no idea what you're talking about, but it's evident that your fantasies are completely incoherent.

For me I'm working on Hilda from Beelzebub xD

Well actually made the costume last year and wore it at the convection but there were many missing parts since I made it like 2 weeks before the covection with not enough time.

I'm working on the gloves and the 'choker' thing hilda wears on her neck xD This is for the next anime convection this year on November! xD I'm also looking for a good wig and planning to buy green contacts together with Hilda's sword/umbrella xD Found some really good ones in amazon
