thanks to the lovley sakurakokoro im now working on a project for the london expo, and its scary how quickly it will be here, i really wanna go all out, but im worried money will contraign me into using old fabric instead of some really great (yet damn exspensive) stuff ive seen. gutting.

actually so far the hardist part has been taking the leap of faith and spray painting my very expsensive Dr martin boots deep red, becuase its cheeper than buying new shoes. damn it, cospaly is always so much easier when you can just blow the budget >_< hahaha.

Apart from actually deciding what else to actually do next

I'm going through the research motions at the moment; trying to discover the various names for different pieces of medieval clothing, trying to find a place that sells big brown cavalier type boots and trying to figure out how to make a sword from feathers

I'm probably going to make a start next month... after payday XD

Fun parts so far? Getting skiing goggles they're awesome and almost perfect for Obito (and there's no way I could make them from scratch =/)

All that's left now is: Ninja sandals, a blue shirt, the wing and the trousers... maybe I should go work on that or maybe sleep...

Any particularly fun bits you've had so far? Traulling through 40+ pages of Japanese auctions to find one item and paying wayyy over the top for it after finding out the site you originally ordered it from doesn't have any in stock, regardless of what the site says.. -_- ahem, sarcasm.

I am currently working on a Haruhi character. It needs to be done for our freshers fair which is next Sunday and, admitedly, other then ironing my collar and buying a white t-shirt, I'm done. Appart from the matter or not knowing who exactly I'm meant to be. I think I might have a trip into town and see if I can aquire a lolfangtan wig, because that would be made of awsome. Failing that I'll aquire some yellow ribbon and some red fabric and be Haruhi.

Sakura's dream Dress from Tsubasa resevior chronicles.

If you have ever read the manga, there is a very short prologue. Its the dress from there. Recently in the manga (I keep up to date with it weekly) This costume has had alot more meaning and I think I am ready to give it a go!

How is it going?

So far I have done the costume sketches for the dress and have started designing the wings. I have also started thinking about making a multi size matching syoaran costume, beacuse every sakura need a syoaran!

I have pretty much sourced the fabrics and have worked out the wing harness structure (Corset!!)

I am having alot of trouble sourcing the large oval beads, and I am hoping that I am not going to have to end up making them.

When is it for?

Probably May expo, since well that is my next convention!! *sobs*

No not really, since I have not really gotten started, Though I think asking random freinds (propective syoaran's) for their measurements could be interesting!

Also I am looking forward to trying to make these wings!
