Help with making long blade like nails
heya guys, I already have a few ideas of how to do this but I would really love everyones input to give me as many options as possible! basically I threw together a lust costume in a day and never got round to making her bladey nails (lol) I also need to do a similar thing for my edea cosplay In August so it would be handy to know for future reference. Heres a photo of the sort of thing I am talking about...

thankyou in advance! <3

You can actually buy them, but im not quite sure if they're big and badass enough:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tsubasa-Tokyo-Revelations-Kamui-Anime-Cosplay-Short-Black-Hair-Wig-MB283-/160720148202?pt=US_CSA_MWA_Wigs_Extensions&hash=item256baad6ea

however because they're connected to a glove you could nick a hole into the end and slot them through and keep them attached with your fingers, having painted them black. You wont have to worry so much about accidentally taking someone (or yourself) out with them.

When you made your original costume did you make the sleeves connect to the bodice or are they separate like a glove?

@Angel Although it shows the nails in the photo I think that link is just for the wig. They do look pretty nifty though- I might be tempted to get something like that when I cosplay Fai.

When I did my Lust I used garden wire and black duct tape to make the nails. I also used some card to make them stiff. So I basically cut the shapes out of card, added the wire to make them flexible with normal tape and them covered all over with the duck tape to give the shiny black finish. Attaching those to the gloves was a real pain though. I wrapped the tape around the fingers but had a little trouble getting them to stay in place. You could maybe try sewing them on at the very end or a bit of wire to keep them in place.

....Oops.... XD Shows how attentive I've been today! Sorry I'm a bit of a mess - Sorry! But maybe you could look into tutorials for something similar for this character?

*goes to hide in corner of shame*
