Ah, I love the mix of the kimono she wears and the military outfit. The other was a bit too "this is what a samuri wears" and not really her.

She does too many pretty things, I don't know how to cope x_x

She's just not being fair now, with all the pretties. Mulan is perfect now with the mushu reference and all.

I'm seriously refusing to choose any until January now, as I'd pretty much make anything that's left happily.

You'd need to run it by Fi, since I think she's doing Mulan. I'm not sure if she'd want to keep with the original design or change to the newer one.

Does anyone know how to do the ears and make-up stuff for Amelia?

I still want to do Meg. But the big issue is I've never made armour before, and I don't want my first one being for something as complex as Meg's....

I really want to do Tiana, but can't, for obvious reasons.

Nixie: The ears you can make out of craft foam, interfacing & fabric or wonderflex and attach them to her hairband, the nose you can paint onto you own nose.

On another note, now that it's January, just wondering how people are getting along with these costumes. Anyone got progress already? Anyone going to drop out?

I'm going fabric shopping within the next few weeks to get fabrics, so should be starting soon

It's just that quite a few people have expressed interest but aren't taking part because their faves are already taken. If anyone is likely to be unable to afford Aya or has too many other groups planned it would be better to have gaps now then suddenly to lose people closer to the event.
Maybe someone should send out a PM role call to check on people who ignore the forums?

I've said that by the end of this month i'll have decided. Still a very difficult decision but I want to get started soon if I can.

Yeah, I think a PM role call would be a good idea, I had thought about doing it, but it's not my group so I didn't want to feel like I was taking over or anything XD. It would definitely be a shame to just loose people closer to the event.
