Just want to jump in and say that if this happens I will so be on the lookout for you guys. I adore those shorts. So need to be their own series (unless they are already and I managed to totally miss it).

Today I pulled the puppy dog eyes on my mum and managed to persuade her to buy me some bits and pieces! I figured I'd post them here, to see what you think, it's nice to chat



I managed to get my hands on some Bump Its! I had a quick play-around - the rest of my hair's a bit windswept and mad but never mind;



I think it looks a bit too much like a beehive? But I think that's just because I've tucked my hair behind my ear. I haven't tried out the smallest Bump It yet, and I'll see what that looks like. But the volume's there, it definitely adds a lot and I think with a bit more back-combing, and when the rest of my hair's not so flat, it'll look good!

I also got some false lashes and lipstick - that lip butter stuff from Revlon (why they call it butter I DON'T know, I feel a bit awkward smearing "butter" all over my lips);



I think I've got a tad too much eyeliner on but I love the eyelashes, and I think the lipstick looks good too. I'm also going to try chopping up some old lashes into those three big distinctive lashes, see how that looks, but I LOVE these eyelashes, I really recommend them

So what do you guys think?

I personally think it's looking really good. The rest of your hair needs to be fluffed a bit, but you stated that yourself. I think that size looks good too, but not seen it in person and sometimes photos don't show what you mean. If it's all fluffed then it won't look as beehivey? IDK, that's too girlie for me.

Lip butter... make-up places are weird... But, it's a good colour and looks really nice!

I can't really comment on the make-up, as I know JACK ALL about it, but again, it looks really good and I think the eyeliner makes your eyes bigger!



Talking about big eyes... How on earth am I going to do Batgirl's astronomically large eyes? I have really small eyes... *is gloomy*

I probably should have spent more time fluffing, but I was rushing for dinner! Later in the week I'll have a go with hairspray so I'm not terrified of touching my hair and having it all fall out, that would make it easier to fluff XD I know what you mean about not seeing it in person, but it looks a bit bigger irl, the perfect size in my opinion. Just needs fluffing.

Thank you about the make-up! I think the eyeliner's a little bit too heavy for Kara? Makes me look a bit too old, but that's easily fixed. I don't know too much about make-up but I know a few tips for how to make your eyes look bigger, mainly eyeliner, a bit of white eyeshadow, false lashes and if you really want to go extreme, there's this tape you can use to make your eyelids bigger, and by extension, your eyes, but I think that's going a bit too far. Tomorrow, when I do the make-up tutorial, I'll make sure to add in some stuff about making your eyes look bigger, if you'd like? But your eyes look lovely and big naturally, in my opinion

With my eye size. I cheat! I'll try to look up at the camera and so my eyes look big. They're actually quite narrow lol. Or I go bugged eyed :3 Cause I can as it doesn't really make me look that weird.

Oh, yeah, looking up at the camera is so much more flattering than looking down, that's a good trick Avoids double chins at well, which I always seem to get XD

The cowl will probably help a lot, actually, thinking about it

How the devil do you get your falsh eyelashes to look like that? I can't even get the damned things to stick onto my face rather than my hands.

I don't this the make-up looks to much. It has to be a bit OTT to show up on camera from any real distance.

Okay, cool, thank you! These eyelashes are AMAZING, they're eylure in 100 I think? And it's down to a LOT of practice and the fact that these are really good bendy eyelashes with excellent glue rather than any skill on my part When I first started using them they were more likely to end up stuck to my eyebrows than anywhere near my eyes XD

I feel really awful about what I started earlier, so I'm leaving CI. I'm still up for the group but I understand if you're not. My email is if you both still want to do it. I'm really sorry.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, you don't need to leave over that! Stuff like that happens, you feel really strongly on that subject and it clearly hits a cord with you. Some of what was said was a bit harsh, but I've heard a lot worse from people who are still going around sites even after offending almost everyone on them!

EDIT: and to be honest, topics like that can quickly explode into some really nasty stuff - really, I've seen a helluva lot worse!

Hi guys, I'm back c: Sorry about everything, made a bit of a mountain out of a molehill, but I feel a lot better now c: I've made a lot of progress on my costume! Well, my stepmum has, I asked her for help and she's done pretty much everything herself ;u; What do you guys think?



Also I'm looking to borrow or "rent" a wig for this, I don't like the look of the Bump-Its and I think it might just look better, depending on what I can find and what dye kits are out there c:

I need to have a think about time/place, I've been to Expo tons but I'm struggling to think of a place for photos that would be really good @_@

It won't quite look quite right, but do you want to use my Enchantress wig for it? It'll be longer than Super Girl's hair (lower back length) with have curls in it, and I'd also need it back for Sunday, but it's gonna be a full wig (once I've had my way with it).

Fantastically, photos of these guys will look best in built up areas - maybe with tall buildings in the back?

I've got 2 blonde wigs you're welcome to borrow.

One's a pale wavy blonde (I used for Lady Blackhawk) and the other's straight and a bit darker (I used for Black Canary, but it seems to have changed colour a little since then...) I'd need the first one back for Sunday but the second one you're welcome to cut/style/whatever.

I'll keep looking at wigs, I think a friend might have one that's a little bit shorter that could work, but thank you both very much for offering, I may need to take one of you up on that - I'd only need to pop on the wig once I got there and you can have it back when I leave on Saturday c:



I think maybe it would be cool to get some photos on the bridge, but I know it's incredibly windy up there and wigs tend to disagree with it :c

Yeah, ideally we need somewhere with enough shelter to protect us from the wind, but not block out too much lighting... Also, what do people thinking doing a later photoshoot? It's just, the majority of the time these girlies go crime fighting at night.

That's a fair point May not be able to see through demented hair but at least the capes will look awesome XD

I was Black Canary in May and for the DC shoot we went down into the car park which is good for gritty-looking photos, but this isn't the grittiest of shows...Maybe Chloe (PaperTiger) will have some ideas c:

A later shoot would be really great, but it depends, I'm staying with my parents and it can take me two hours to get back, I don't want to burst in on them, but it should be okay if I leave before 9. In October it shouldn't take too long to get dark c:

Another vote for the bridge. How about the back entrance just outside were we had the DC meet in May? There stairs and some interesting railings etc out there and the really pretty purple/green hotel in the background.

Time's no problem for me. We're staying the night and probably having diner in the area so I can check back at any time. Maybe we could do some in the afternoon (while everything's in good condition) and then decide if we want to do more later?
