You know you've been cosplaying too long when...

...you travel back from your dad's (4 hour train journey including changing trains) with three bags and a suitcase worth of stuff and it's a breeze.

...you go to a carboot and buy loads of bits and pieces which confuse your relatives but you can easily see how it will work with cosplay.

...go to thorpe park and spend the time thinking how much more fun it would be to go in a big cosplay group

...you are able to pull out loads of costumes and props to help with your brother's videos

...when you see a random household item waiting to be binned and start thinking about what it could be made into.

when ur mom just thinks its normal to see a wig come through the post when im at college

when u get stressed over deciding to go to a camp or to an expo/con (this is common for me as an explorer scout)

You know when you've been cosplaying too long when...

your work colleges start bringing in bits and bobs from home and saving items from work which cannot be sold/waiting to be binned to donate to your cosplay projects

you walk past random junk lying about and think "what could I use that for?"

I have 150 pieces of small rectangular pieces (about the size of a £20 note) of cardboard that I "liberated" from work, I have no idea what to use it for.

Personally my worst ones:

When you start modfiying actual clothes to make costumes, then wonder why you have nothing to wear...

... but you have no money to buy clothes becuase you spent it all on fabric >_<

When one of your worst recurring nightmares is that it's time to leave for the con, and your costumes are nowhere near finished.

When you end up with 5+ costumes for a 3-day convention...

...despite only having planned to do 1.

When visiting a big city means only one thing - access to a good fabric shop.

You know you're obsessed when you've accumulated more injuries from making and wearing the thing than the English Rugby League and Union teams combined

I swear Rio Ferdinand in Football has more than that...

but yeah you know your obsessed when you keep making budget plans for future cosplays a year before the actual con

You go to an expo and wonder how on earth chars walk,move, go to the toilet,
just plain live in THAT outfit then have to remind youself it's not real. XD

And when you start planning what to wear to the
expo next year even through you still have yet to go to this year's one.


And yes i think i now have more fabric/random stuff in my room than normal clothes XD
