Numta, was tempted to quote just to cause chaos there
Well, I am cosplaying a villain >D
@The-oncoming-storm: Yeah, more Loki for me XD I'm such a Loki fangirl it's unreal.
Sadly... I like causing chaos. I'll just do it tidy.
You're going to be living the dream with all these Loki walking around then. I wish I was making a comic Loki, but goal for next year. I will at least cosplay one Loki form from the comics since I enjoy his character more at times in the comics.
That's a point actually, what Loki versions are people doing, except "kid" and "Lady"? I mean, there are many many versions of Marvel characters, and several multiples... I'm more curious lol
I don't know why I bothered to ask, since I've not stated which version of Enchantress I'm doing (then again, I'm not actually too sure which one to do... and her outfit doesn't drastically change often)
Avengers Film Loki, the version you see him in for most of them. I like to think it'd be easier then working out the comic Loki I love the most, or starting on the version EMH... but I know that's a lie.
Harder one first, easier one later on. xD I'm curious what other Loki's there are though as well.
I have EMH Enchantress on the plans at some point, probably when Catnip_Dreams and her bf do Wasp and Antman (although she also wants to cosplay Hawkeye, but I don't think he'll make a good Black Widow lol).
I actually quite like the film design :3 certainly, excluding Lady Loki, it's one of the few of Loki I want to cosplay.
I really want to get a EMH group together. I have a friend who will be cosplaying Hawkeye at some point, and then theres a few cosplayers dotted around who are EMH-ing as well. One day.
I love the film design, it's just complicated to break down to build yourself. Still struggling to make the patterns out. So glad I've got till October to make this.
Quoting to death
Anyway, yeah, that's the biggest problem of that outfit - it's loads and loads of strips of material rather than a solid piece - have you though about making a base out of a cheap material, and then laying the strips over it and sewing it to that instead? That would get the proportions right too.
And I've gotta figure out how to put the circle design on Enchantress' leggings; circles don't really go well, in my experience, and I've got one type of material for the leggings, and another for the circles (one is stretchy, the other not at all). So, also glad that I've got til October to make that.
One day, we shall do a massive EMH group... But not til after August next year, I hope, as I have no spaces left lol
We are the true villains for all this quoting.
My plan is to to use a my scrap material for parts where I can. So, for the sleeves, where the leather starts to strip for example, I'll make the base out of my scrap black instead of wasting my green fabric to make a whole sleeve or something. Cutting corners to save my fabric wherever possible. Because leatherette and pleather isn't cheap to keep stocking. Nor is my choice in green material really. Can't afford to waste any of it.
Those circles are sure going to be fun for Enchantress. Marvel really like to make the costume difficult to recreate. Strips of material, or specific designs on leggings. Covering all the difficulties.
My EMH Loki is defiantly next years summer project though.
