anime tributes bands uk?
so.. its been a while since i picked up my guitar.

and when i did i felt this sense of wanting to play onstage again as i used to be in a semi pro band. however it was more rock/metal music. however what i was learning to play was things like k-on music (no thank you, fuwa fuwa time) and a few song inpirs by nana, like rose. in any case to make this commitment more desirable. i went on a search into google for bands hiring musicians for a anime tribute bands. (ideally i want to play in a band like the black stones from nana).

however to my shocking dismay, no such post exists on the internet, specifically google. am i missing something or do things like that not even exist on a hobbyist level in the uk? I'm sure japan would have loads but i see all these great musicians on youtube? why has no formed an amateur anime tribute band?

As an event promoter I find it a shame that there aren't many good UK live acts that play the kind of music people want to hear live on the convention circuit.

Area11 (http://www.area-11.co.uk/) are a local band I've seen a few times and they've played gigs at LAC as far as I'm aware.

I think the problem is that many hobbyists are scattered across the UK and have only themselves to play with so what you end up seeing is a few solo sings, guitarists or sax players entering the omake-esque shows at cons rather than being invited as a "band" to play at a party.

interestingly enough thats why i thought someone would've put a post online saying musicians wanted for anime tribute band, but nothing. an untapped market?

but area11 sounds were pretty awesome, but your gambit avatar is far more amazing! love gambit.
