Okay, here's the thing.

Since I'm now 100% certain I'm applying for Queen Margaret's University in Edinburgh this September, I need to beef up my portfolio with the design aspect of the course (Design and Construct is the course)

HOWEVER, I'm really crap at thinking of a theme or something, so I'd very much appreciate it if you lot could help me out.

The idea is for people to give me several key words or a criteria that the costume must meet. It can be almost anything; designing a villain/hero/damsel/standard person for a fantasy world, or sci-fi, design an original character to fit in with an existing world (ie Marvel comics) or re-design an existing character (ie x-character set in x-time period or x-character as a female). Including certain criteria that it must meet, or certain aspects which cannot be part of the character (for example, it must contain something to do with necromancy, but without the colour red).

Things I wont accept are "modern day clothing". Basically, something where it leans more into fashion than a costume.

Also, once I've designed the sketches, I'll be putting them to a vote. The sketch with the highest votes will be made, free of charge, for the person who put forward the criteria it. I'll also send it to you if the postage is under £15. Any more than that and you'll need to make up the remaining cost.

NOTE: any design with a concept that I am not comfortable in making (ie, is a robot or is space suit) wont go through to the voting stage. I will let you know if that suggestion is not eligible for voting/making if you want to make amends. However, I am also happy just to do sketches.

Closing date for anyone wanting to enter the voting is the 15th June. Any submitted after that will probably still be made into a sketch, but wont be entered for the vote. Voting will start after the sketches are finished.

EXTRAS:
1. Depending on how many entries there are, I may make more than one design.
2. If you've suggested something which I adore the design of, I might just make that one as well.
3. The finished costume(s) will not be posted out to you until after the interview stage of the course so they can look at the winning design too.

I'd rather you emailed me on or PM'd me with the subject "design entry", that way I can keep track of the entries. If it's just a suggestion without wanting to enter, then you don't need to put design entry.

Gloves are so difficult T-T I hate drawing hands lol

I can't draw shoes, I have a little book with models in it, cos I can't draw, period, and I can't draw shoes, all their feet look deformed!
