Hello I am making an outfit that doesn't actually show feathers but my plan is to use them XD They go all around the edge of the dress but my main consirn after seeing Kero's wings is the fact Feathers like to lose their shape and look horrible.
Thats before i even get to expo too!
so does anyone have anything to make feathers stay nice? Thanks!

Basically, before you start and at decent intervals while you're working with said feathers, hold one by the tip of the quill and gently brush your fingers all the way up to the tip of the feather. Repeat on the other side and as often as you like. Keeping 'preening' the feathers like this should help them hold their shape - It certainly did for me - But you could also pick up a bird dust bath and brush that onto your feathers as well to help them hold their shape.
Hope it helps! |

Generally I've always avoided feathers in bulk (one or two is easy to look after or replace) in favour of something painted to look like feathers. |

If it can keep a wig looking good all day no reason why it's shouldn't keep feathers looking good. GL with what everway works
