Personally i favor them. My latest Menchi I have never seen a Gijinka for. I have also done Chocobo and Bunny from LFG and Shera and i plan on doing Kon from Bleach.

I just love the reactions you get with them though Bunny wasnt as well recieved as i would have hoped. Also gives quite a bit o artistic license like i had to take with Shera cause lets face it we are working with pixels.

Anyone else like cosplaying not well know characters?

I love to be different rather than the same as alot of people but then theres a reason everyone cosplays certain Characters because they are just too awesome not to cosplay as ^^

I LOVE seeing cosplays that many others haven't done! I always geek out when i see a Dark from DN Angel im not sure why i think i've seen like 1 person who's cosplayed it.

I dont know if its just me but i dont often see many people cosplaying Persona's from any of the persona games. ( i realise how tricky they are though)

I don't think i've cosplayed many things that other people haven't done a million times over, i do have some planned that i'd like to do

I love it too I remember at kita i saw a Kero from CCS and a Happy from Fairytale. and I squeeeeed soo hard. So I am hoping Shera will go down well here (since it didnt at aya) as with Menchi too

I like obscure costumes love seeing them and doing them! ^.^ I have one or two of them, mainly

Captain Marvel *shazam* who is fairly well known in the US and who is a childrens comic book character from the 1940s I loved as a child and it sort of never left from being an adult *good friend of superman, one of my other costumes however not so obscure lol* I mainly get called Red Superman or The Flash or flash gordon XD

Alan Scott Green Lantern who is the golden age 1940s green lantern who again is fairly well known at Us cons like Dragoncon and such. but usually draws blank looks at Expo lol

I will be doing eve from black cat, that anime is also under cosplayed!

I seem to either do really popular characters or ones people don't really know.

I remember doing Satoshi from D.N.Angel and no one really knew who I was I think I got called the blue haired one. Also when I did Shuichi from Gravitation no one seemed to know him either!!!

I also cosplay a lot of the Gundam Wing characters and plan on doing the same for Gundam Seed!!!

Out of the stuff I've cosplayed the one that seems to not be done much is the suikoden series. Would love to see people cosplay from it.

I've done Loz from FFVI AC and one of my first expo cosplays was Fai D Flowright, way back before Tsubasa had an anime and no-one had heard of it.

Little sister from BioShock , not too rare but it's rare to ever actually see a good cosplay of her most of them are really half assed DX .

My first ever cosplay was Nagi from Kannagi, it was at Expo when the series first came out, only one guy recognised my cosplay but I still haven't seen any Nagi or Kannagi cosplays since and its been about 4-5 years since =P

I love niche series so I do like seeing quite niche cosplays. And I would like to do some myself, like Nekogami Yaoyorozu or Love Live! but I've just never gotten round to it =P

I've done the merchant from resident evil 4.

I've seen quite a few merchant's but what makes them unique is the different things they offer for sale!

I usually try to cosplay those who aren't often cosplayed. Next year I'm planning to cosplayy Ursula from the Little Mermaid and Justin from Grandia. In the past I've cosplayed as Quina from FF9, Shippo from Inuyasha, Sakuya from Okami (which I will return to one day) Deku Link from LoZ

I've only seen two or three (at most) other cosplays of each of these, and they're usually not by cosplayers based in the UK. I don't set out to do obscure or unusual characters, it just seems to work out that way!

Not too sure how obscure the ones i'll list are but;

I really enjoy cosplaying as lesser-cosplayed characters too because it feels more original. There are both well-known and niche series and games that I love, so about half of the characters I've done have been quite commonly-seen ones ( such as Death Note and Ouran ) and the other half have been rare ones. I'm more likely to put the priority on a rare cosplay, but I also won't rule out doing an already popular cosplay if I like the character enough ^^

Hurhur I'm planning Junpei's persona soon. I think I'm going to cry making it. Though I was tempted to do Fuuka's persona but man that's too difficult XD

I think my least common is Amaimon from Blue exorcist but I'm planning many many more less cosplayed characters like Wild Tiger (Tiger and bunny). Yukimura (Sengoku Basara) and Chessverse!England(Hetalia)

I've done a few that went without recognition, that I've never seen others of, either.

I've never seen another Moira (from Fallout 3) and no-one recognized me...

I've never seen Polysics cosplays, and I'm planning one for later this year. Erm... Who else... I don't think I've seen many other FF3 cosplayers. And I've seen no-one else do the version of Arisia I did either, which is the one from the 70's.

I do love seeing cosplays many people haven't done. I've only got a couple of cosplays that, in my opinion, have been under-cosplayed. I cosplayed Ryuichi from Gravitation and only about 3 people knew who I was. I've also cosplayed Badou from DOGS: Bullets and Carnage and no one knew who I was either! The series is so under cosplayed.

I'm planning to cosplay Basil from The Great Mouse Detective later this year since it's one of my fave Disney films and I haven't seen anyone cosplay from it.

Funnily enough I saw a Moira cosplayer along with Butch too last Expo on friday o: my friend pointed her out cause she's a huge fan of Fallout 3 xD

I'm actually planning Arc from FF3 one day too! Possibly for Distant Worlds...but I'm not too sure yet :>

I think my Edge Maverick one was kinda unique, I've never seen another Edge cosplayer in reality, but I've seen a couple online. Don't think *many* people knew who I was though XD
