Coat help
Does anybody know where I might find a long white trench coat/lab coat for purchase? I'm cosplaying Lyser Deithel's X-Laws outfit from Shaman King and I'm not that great at making stuff, but I can alter pretty well. I've had a look online and I can't seem to find anything that could work. I plan to buy a coat and just add details and zips. Here's a reference picture to aid the search:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=lyserg+x+laws&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=M5hnT4auIcnj8AOX8d3tCA&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CGUQ_AUoAQ&biw=1024&bih=672

Not sure if the link will work though, my laptop is broken so I'm having to use my iPad and the web browser isn't great.

Thanks, Sam.

I made this a few years back and I modified a lab coat which I found through good old ebay. Usually they have wholesalers who sell on the site itself but as I understand it you can download an ebay app for ipads/phones that you can use to browse.

I found when I did it that if you insert a triangular panel at the back of the coat you can get that nice gape/ open waft that it has and still retain the fitted look across the chest.

Failing that you could always commission it? Hope this helps out some! If you need any more help or would like a commission hit me up!

Thanks, that really helps me out. What did you make the panel out of?

I just bought some simple polycotton or you could use drill depending on the material the coat is. As lab coats tend to be of heavier density/ fabric content for what they're designed for I'd say a good drill would suffice. Failing that take the coat with you to a fabric shop and try to match it from there.
