Greetings from Cheshire!

My name is Becki, and this is the first time I have registered on Cosplay Island - I am currently also on Cosplay.com and the MCM forum as well. :3

I've been attending conventions since 2009: I'm actually really into manga (and anime, but manga moreso) but usually I go for the Steampunk/Victoriana look. Once I went as Sebastien from Black Butler, but that didn't turn out terribly well...

Ah well. Since my first attempt at cosplay, I have actually gone down FIVE dress sizes, haha! Which, I'm not going to lie, has made it cheaper and easier to acquire things for costumes. :B

This year at MCM I'm going to be Effie Trinket from the Hunger Games, and then Narcissa Malfoy from Harry Potter.

I just want to make new friends that I can say hi to if we see each other there, and get some critique of my progress with the Effie Outfit before hand! I'll post some pictures soon. c:

Good luck with your costumes. I haven't seen the Hunger Games yet, so I don't know if I could offer much advice but I'm sure there are plenty of people here will be happy to.

Well, it's actually not out in cinemas until the 23rd, but I've read the books and have been scouring the internet for stills of the trailers, and buying all the official movie companion books and so forth. c:

Thank you for the welcome! :B I'll be doing a make-up test run when my lip paint arrives in the post this week! Then I'll post photos of the jacket before and after I puff it up. I'm not sure I'll be able to get them quite AS BIG as the movie... Feel free to stalk! In fact, I insist on it!

And haha. :3 Thank you very much. I still have about 10 pounds left to lose, but I think I can lose them before the time the con rolls around.
