Non-running fake blood
Hello everyone, I'm not sure if there is a forum like this as I cannot use the search tool (Is blocked in college) so I'll ask anywhos

I have finished creating my Alice: Madness Returns cosplay (Apron and Dress) and I now need to do get down and dirty with the fake blood.

But I have only used cheap fake blood before, the type that turns pink and runs.
And red food dye is good until it fades and turns orange. (It also runs)

So what can I use to make the blood splatters that will stay the same colour and will not run or dye the fabric when I wash it?

Thank you

I don't suppose you could take a little look at my cosplay page? >/////< https://www.facebook.com/naygoesmoocosplay

Thank you xx

Some of the best fake blood staining I've seen has been done with nail varnish. If you layer it up so it's still a bit shiny it even looks like it's still fresh and wet, but won't rub off on anything.

acrylic paint is also a bugger to get out, however you have to break the rules of not wanting to stain something, which is to apply heat. Once you've applied heat to something it does -not- come out.

As for your skin I would highly recommend red liquid latex. It doesn't rub off on people or yourself, so you dont have to worry about ruining anybody's costume! The best part is peeling it off later, or just use warm water.
