Having trouble trying to work this out: making a hat based on Dimo's (the green/grey one with the pointy teeth) and I have no idea what the hell the plume on his hat is made from:

Any ideas? I was thinking of unravelling some cord or wool or something :/

Traditionally the plume on a helmet of that style would have been made from horsehair, so you might want to consider using hair extensions? You can get cheap crimped ones that would be pretty easy to get that style with.

So I guess use a wig and stick it in the top of your hat? ^^; sorry I can't be of more help

Think I will try hair extensions, I just hope they don't tangle (more than one evening spent grumpily untangling wigs ). Then again wool would as well :l
