I would like to know if anyone has bought from MatchWigs.com?
http://matchwigs.com

Has anyone bought from them before? How were the wigs? I have heard good things about them from other sites. How long did it take to ship to UK?

I am eyeing on one of the Wanar black wig.

What costume are you planning?

I hate to say this but I wonder who you really are. Are you a cosplayer at all? You signed up just a few days ago when matchwigs's ads started, replied to a few threads as if to prove you're not a spammer, but all the threads you picked are the non-cosplay ones and your replies were all very basic. You have no costumes, not even planned ones, in your account. To top it off, your icon is a generic picture pulled from the internet.

Might sound like I'm just annoyed by competition, but honestly I'd say this even if I wasn't a wig seller: you look like a spammer to me. A good one, but still a spammer.

I don't see what's wrong with asking and you didn't have to be that mean.

Ah, you've avoided my questions.

As for what is wrong with asking, well, this community has strict rules about advertising. There are cosplayers here who do commissions or sell cosplay items to make money and they all follow those rules. Making an account to pimp a shop is not following the rules.

edit: my bad, you didn't sign up around the time the ads started, you signed up yesterday. Even more suspicious.

Please don't use this site as an advertising board...it is really an insult to all the people who abide by the rules and who genuinely want to use the site for more decent reasons than to fluff up their company.

It might be an idea if you remove your profile before someone actually reports you to an admin. If you're a bona fide cosplayer, than apologies, but if not, please try to respect this site and the UK cosplayers using it.

You accusations are ridiculous, really. I have been following the forums for quite awhile already before I register.

And btw guys, I am cosplaying John Egbert from homestuck. Any suggestions would be great.

Try using a profile pic that isn't pulled from the internet.

But - if you're not a spammer and let me apologise if you aren't - matchwigs look okay in quality, I haven't tried their products myself, can't comment on actual quality, shipping or service.

Their conduct, however... take a look at this:

http://www.cosplay.com/search.php?do=finduser&u=293336

Every single post that person makes is either non-commital-asking-questions stuff, asking about wigs (but never fully follow up after people have answered) or pimping matchwigs. Userpic of somebody else's cosplay, pulled from the internet. No personal info or any costume photos of their own even after months. Obviously matchwigs sneakily advertising themselves. This is what their conduct is like.

So very sorry if you're not a spammer, but you've behaved so much like them so far.

Just to defend Pez, she is a really really nice person. It's just there is issues of people joining cosplay forums like this just to get people to look at their shop. We don't mind non-cosplayers (photographers are also on here) it's just it gets frustrating when there are people going "should I buy from [this is actually my website.com]???" And being harsh is a good way of getting it to stop.

But she is a really nice and very helpful person (especially when it comes to wigs and making armour and the like )

I've not bought from MatchWigs.com, though that's cause they don't stock the wigs that I need for the characters I want to do (not many shops that are specialized for wigs do now... I miss cosworx...)
