Need ID? Citizencard for £5. PASS scheme UK accepted
I know this is too late for people with issues over ID for the expo ball but it's useful for future events & general purchases ect.
I often hear excuses for no ID are passports are seen too valuable to carry around or too expensive. Cost issues and lack of wanting to learn for drivers licenses also. Everyone knows student ID is easily forged & a birth certificate doesn't prove you're you with the lack of photo.

CitzenCards are less know of or seen about but they are a UK verified/accepted form of identification and are part of the PASS scheme.
Similar to when applying for a passport your photo must be verified & counter-signed by someone over 25, in work and who is not a relative. If under 16 parental/guardian consent will also be needed.

The CitizenCard normally costs £10 but at the moment GAME are working in partnership to supply these cards for only £5 in a crackdown on ID-ing for games (They now operate "Challenge 21".
Head down to your local GAME store to get a form to apply for the card and get a £5 discount. They should be handing them out to anyone who is refused sale due to lack of ID but if you ask I'm sure they'll give you one.

Valid ID for a fiver. No excuses for having none really.

Thanks for this information it's just what I needed.
Because it's getting to the point where i'm asked more and more for ID to buy DVD's and games and stupid things like glow sticks?!?! [Apparently they have some weird chemical in them?]
But i've always found trouble to get ID so this has helped me out! Thanks =D

Yeah it's poisonous when swallowed I think and the liquid also badly stains clothes... I've never been ID'd for them though
My local homeware shop suddenly has a sign saying no glue products to anyone under 21. Just as I noticed they sell hot glue guns cheap and all =(
