Covering eyebrows
Hey guys

for this cosplay season i'm going to cosplay a character that has grey/silverish coloured eyebrows, and i myself on the other hand have dark brown ones -_-"

Now i did some research on the net about different kind of tutorials, but recently i found out about Stargazer Hair Mascara

Would this be worth a shot to use this to cover my eyebrows ? If so, would it be best to go for a white or a grey version ?

Thank you in advance

Dont bother wasting your money on that stuff. Seriously. If you have some PVA glue and some acrylic paints laying around, use them.

here's a link with more details of what to do. It doesnt matter how dark your eyebrows are, it works as I have very dark ones myself.

hope this helps you

Thank you for sharing ^^ already know of that tutorial, but i'm not really fond of the glue part... Just thought this would've been a good alternative and it's not that it's so expensive anyway

Normal mascara is meant to be able to work on even black eyelashes, if you can find silver mascara you can just use it on your eyebrows to get the same colour. I've done this before with green mascara.

I've used the PVA glue method and its really not as bad as it sounds, it all comes off pretty easily with hot soapy water:3

This really. I mean the best I can do is suggest that you give it a go as a test run and see how you feel about it. No fear of smudging or running either. I cant say how the hair mascara stuff works in terms of how it lasts in a hot and sweaty environment. But test runs are usually the best way to confirm what works well for you

i would recommend trying the information on How to Cover Eyebrows. You don't want your natural brows to be stained, which can happen with some mascaras. If your brows are really dark, you may want to go for complete coverage.

I skipped the PVA part altogether and just put acrylic paint straight onto my eye brows when I painted them red for one of my cosplays ^^; Worked fine!

I have some problems regarding glue though all my cosplaying friends use the method. Another good method to cover them is to use soap instead of glue (but not liquid soap. Rigid one) it works the same way as glue. If not then using special wax (the ones Geisha use) will help but it is more expensive.
Either way just do the same as you would do with glue and then cover with foundation and draw on top of them. ^^
