Im off to the Midlands Expo on my own and have never been to Telford so I was wondering if there was anyone else on their own (or in a friendly group) who fancies tagging along with me when in Telford? ^_^

I think the idea of a loner group is nice, we could all go and get dinner

The Telford expo is very relaxed and much smaller than the other two, as well as being my favourite for this. People are a lot more talkative and friendly rather than rushing about so hopefully first timers will find it easy to fit in with everything else that is going on.

Yeah I went to manchester on my own and found it really hard to get talking to people! A little too shy I suppose!

I totally agree with this. Although people say its easier to talk to people, i would still find this very hard
However if we know were in the same position i guess it makes it easier to get on (Hope this makes sense!!!)

Cool, you make a super cute Ariel and im really happy you posted this topic because i was going to start a similar one closer to the time of expo!!!

People at Midlands seem to be really friendly. Both times I've been I've gone with friends, but I tend to spend a lot of time wandering around on my own and talking to people. I'm usually a very shy person, but I've found it so easy to talk to people at Midlands Expo.

I'll be with some people, but most likely with a Gakupo (Vocaloid, Venomania outfit) or running around on my own.
I'll be doing the Kaito from the same song- big blue dress, long blonde wig. If you see us around you'd be welcome to come join us. Meeting new people is fun ^^.

I'll be going with my other half but am more than open to meeting/talking to new people on the day - this'll be my first con in a while and, well, what's a con without the people?

I'll be going as Terezi from Homestuck, other half hasn't decided yet (we're both new to cosplay).

that would be awesome! I'm not sure what I'm cosplaying for that expo yet, but some of the characters I'm thinking about are America (Hetalia), Officer Jenny, Matt (Death Note), Rin Okumura (Blue Exorcist) and Peter White or Tweedle Dee from Alice in the Country of Hearts. :3

If anyone needs a bit of guidance on where to go in Telford, like to the town centre to shop/get food, feel free to ask me! I go to Telford pretty much every week or so, since I'm pretty damn local, so I'm more than willing to help out any lost souls~

I am coming by train too from London.
I haven't booked anything yet though.

err can i be a loner too? im coming on my own! by train, to get to telford you have to change at birmingham newstreet so maybe we could all meet there and get the train to telford together?
